To fix a problem with Blackboard, you may need to empty your browser cache.
Here are instructions for various browsers:
Firefox 2, 3.x, 3.5.x, 3.6, 4.x for Windows
- From the
Tools
menu, selectClear Private Data
, and then chooseCache
.
Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9
- Push the ALT key on the keyboard to reveal the menus at the top.
- From the
Tools
menu, selectInternet Options...
- Choose the
General
tab. - Under
Browsing history
, clickDelete...
- Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click
Delete files...
- Click
Close
, and then clickOK
to exit.
Internet Explorer 6
- Push the ALT key on the keyboard to reveal the menus at the top.
- From the

- Choose the
General
tab. - In the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click
Delete Files...
- To confirm the deletion, click

- From the Wrench menu (upper-right), click Tools > "Clear Browsing Data..."
- Check "Empty the Cache" and "Delete Cookies..." and click the "Clear Browsing Data" button.

. In 2.0, clickClear Now
. In 1.5, clickClear Cache Now

menu, selectEmpty Cache...
- When prompted, click
Empty
to confirm that you want to empty the cache.
