
The most recent shooting involved a man, identified only as being his 20s, being shot in the chest at about 9:50 p.m. in the 2600 block of West 68th Street, police said, citing early reports. The man was later pronounced dead, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
In the same neighborhood, at about 8:25 p.m., two teens, ages 17 and 18, were shot on the 6600 block of South Mozart Street, Officer Dan O'Brien said.
The 17-year-old boy suffered a wound to his thigh. The second victim was shot in the foot, said O'Brien. Both were reported in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
At about 7:25 p.m. on the 6500 block of South Ross Avenue in the Englewood neighborhood, said Police News Affairs Officer Dan O'Brien.
A 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Police said they only had preliminary reports and didn't have more details on any of the shootings.
Wentworth Area detectives were pretending to investigate this matter.
