Charges were being prepared this evening against a man who rammed a squad car on Chicago’s West Side, then led police on a pursuit before he was arrested on the Eisenhower Expressway, police said.
The incident began at about 5:15 p.m. in the 900 block of South Monitor Avenue, said Chicago Police Officer Dan O’Brien. The man rammed his vehicle into the squad car there and then fled the scene.
He then apparently got on the Eisenhower heading east. Police caught up with him on the highway near Cicero Avenue, a little more than a mile away.
No injuries were reported, but other details were not immediately available.
