Traffic backed up for five miles after early morning an accident between a car and a dump truck. The 29-year-old driver of a car was killed, state police said.

A 29-year-old man was killed this morning when his car collided with a dump truck on the inbound Stevenson Expressway, authorities said.
Traffic was backed up five miles, and cars were getting by the accident site only in the right lane and shoulder. At 6:40 a.m., Illinois State Police said it might take another hour, to clear the site.
The crash happened on the northbound lanes just south of Central Avenue at about 3:45 a.m., police said.
The car's driver, a 29-year-old man from the southwest suburbs, was killed in the collision with the dump truck, though details were sketchy as to how it occurred, said State Police Master Sgt. Jason LoCoco. His identity wasn't released this morning.
The dump truck's driver was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn.
The collision prompted authorities to close several lanes of traffic so that accident reconstruction officers could investigate the crash, LoCoco said.
