To fix a problem with Blackboard, you may need to empty your browser cache.
Here are instructions for various browsers:
Firefox 2, 3.x, 3.5.x, 3.6, 4.x for Windows
- From the
Toolsmenu, selectClear Private Data, and then chooseCache.
Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9
- Push the ALT key on the keyboard to reveal the menus at the top.
- From the
Toolsmenu, selectInternet Options... - Choose the
Generaltab. - Under
Browsing history, clickDelete... - Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click
Delete files... - Click
Close, and then clickOKto exit.
Internet Explorer 6
- Push the ALT key on the keyboard to reveal the menus at the top.
- From the
Toolsmenu (for version 4.x, theViewmenu), selectInternet Options... - Choose the
Generaltab. - In the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click
Delete Files... - To confirm the deletion, click
OK. - In the
Internet Optionsdialog box, clickOK.
Google Chrome
- From the Wrench menu (upper-right), click Tools > "Clear Browsing Data..."
- Check "Empty the Cache" and "Delete Cookies..." and click the "Clear Browsing Data" button.
Firefox 1, 2, 3 for Macintosh
- From the
Firefoxmenu, selectPreferences... - From the sheet that drops down, select
Privacy. In 2.0, clickClear Now. In 1.5, clickClear Cache Now. In 1.0, next toCache, click theClearbutton, and thenOK.
Safari for Macintosh (not recommended for use with Blackboard)
- From the
Safarimenu, selectEmpty Cache... - When prompted, click
Emptyto confirm that you want to empty the cache.
