3 shot in legs in West Pullman

Three people were shot this evening in the Far South Side's West Pullman neighborhood and were taken to local hospitals, fire and police officials said.



The incident happened at about 6:40 p.m. near 119th Street and Michigan Avenue, said Chicago Police Officer Veejay Zala.



Details of the shooting itself, but the victims were identified as a 29-year-old man who was shot in the right calf, a 23-year-old man also shot in the right calf and a teenage girl shot in the lower left leg, Zala said.



Two of the victims were taken to Roseland Hospital, while the third was taken to Metro South Hospital in Blue Island, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight. All were in fair condition.
