14-year-old honor student who is about to turn his life around crashes into a Chicago Fire Truck



A 14-year-old motorist crashed into a fire engine Saturday afternoon outside a West Side firehouse.

The vehicle “slid” into fire engine 113 about 6 p.m. outside the station at 5212 W. Harrison St., according to the fire department.

The 14-year-old driver was taken in good condition to Loretto Hospital, the fire department said.

Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
