FBI seeks "Watermelon Head" Robber in SW Side bank robbery

A man in his 40s robbed a bank on the Southwest Side this morning and escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, the FBI announced.



The man entered the Second Federal Savings Bank at 3960 W. 26th St. and walked up to a teller, handing her a note announcing a robbery, the FBI said.



After being given an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported, the FBI said.



According to the FBI, witnesses described the man as black, about 45-50 and 5-foot-7, with a medium build. He was bald, with a mustache and eyeglasses.



The FBI released a bank surveillance photo and also posted information on the Bandit Tracker website.
