For a second day in a row - A quadruple shooting on Chicago's South Side



Four people were wounded this morning in a street shooting in the city's Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, police said.



The shooting happened about 12:50 a.m. on the 1600 block of West 79th Street, said Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.



Preliminary reports said the victims were walking on the sidewalk when they were approached by three male assailants who fired shots.



A 27-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to the foot and was taken in good condition to Holy Cross Hospital. An 18-year-old man, suffered a graze wound to his back. He was also taken in good condition to Holy Cross. A 23-year-old man was shot in the left thigh and foot and was taken in stable condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. A 25-year-old man suffered a wound to his upper leg and was taken to Christ Medical Center where his condition has stabilized, police said.



As of 2:30 a.m., no one was in custody. Calumet Area detectives were investigating.
