As a Mets fan, I’m deeply disappointed hedge fund guru, David Einhorn and his $200 million walked away from the table to buy a minority interest in the team. For at least 4 months Mets fans had some hope that one Fred Wilpon and his idiot son Jeff would have to sell David control of the rest of the team.
But, it wasn’t to be with Fred mucking up the deal at the last minute. David had enough of the Wilpon bullshit and took a hike. So us Mets fans are back where we started with an owner that doesn’t have a clue and a son that’s equally clueless.
I bet if you give a Mets fan a choice of re-signing Jose Reyes or Fred Wilpos selling the team to Mark Cuban, 95% of Mets fans would say good-by Jose, it was nice knowing you!
