Music Video: Short Stack - Heartbreak Made Me A Killer

This is bound to be one of my favorite singles of 2011. It was already one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums of last year (that's a lot of favorites). I can't overstate how much I've grown to love this band. I think the video's an odd match with the song (and wish they would have stuck to the sci-fi/action story they had going with the previous ones), but I am so happy this was chosen as a single. If there's any justice in the world, it'll be a huge hit for them. And I'm loving their new look.

Music Video: The Hoosiers - Unlikely Hero

Epic single from an epic album. If this can't "save" the album campaign, I don't know what could. I'm not sure what the hell the video has to do with the song, but when you've got a chorus this gargantuan, it doesn't really matter.

Music Video: Foxy Shazam - Unstoppable

I've been waiting for this one for awhile now. In addition to their enormous, stadium-filling sound, Foxy Shazam are such a visual band. Their last video was an instant classic. This isn't quite as good, but it's super creative and pulled off very well. They use the type of puppeteering that Scissor Sisters used for their She's My Man video, but to much greater effect. I never liked that Scissor Sisters video. This benefits from Eric Nally's undeniable charisma (despite opening with one of the most...uh... interesting screen shots of the year) and the support of an incredible song. I love it when the whole band joins in the end. My only complaint is that the visuals don't match the song all that well. Still, I have high hopes that this will put the band on more people's radars, right where they should be.

Music Video: Hurts - Wonderful Life

I can't tell you how gratifying it is to see one of my old favs (Daggers) come as far as they have and release a video as amazing and professional as this. Wonderful Life has already gained traction in mainland Europe and it'd be a crime if the same doesn't happen in the UK. This stylish video should help.

Music Video: The Bang Bang Club - Chemistry

Hands down one of the best singles of the year. And now it has a video! Not sure what all the paint means, but it's cool nonetheless. Watch out for these guys. They're set to take off.

The Ark - Superstar (Music Video)

My first thoughts are: this is definitely a new Ark. It's a very interesting and artsy video showcasing the band's newly stripped down look. Very nice. I can't wait for the album. Only about two weeks to go...
