What People are Saying About TRUMP

While some of my best bloggin' buds in-the-whole-wide-world have chosen to take issue with Trump -who endorsed McCain- just for giving Barack Obama a fair chance and the benefit-of-the-doubt in the heady days following his 2008 victory, I sure don't seen any pressing need to scare off a guy who clearly has benefited the conservative debate immensely- and likely will do so for the foreseeable future...

And yeah, someone should suggest to the blunt-talking tycoon that it may not behoove him to label  Bush "evil"... but he doesn't think we ever should have gone to Iraq, and back in '08 when he uttered it, that was the mood of the day. I sure don't agree with Trump on that either, but maybe he meant for handing the country over to the Democrats- if so, he'd have a point. And somebody ought to ask him to explain it, I'd like to hear what that was supposed to mean.

But Donald Trump's the only one -except perhaps John Bolton- saying anything even close to what I have been waiting to hear on vital defense issues... like "no nuclear Iran, no way". When Trump isn't in the room, I can already see that many important things won't even be discussed- not by the Mitt-bots of the world. Add to that his reach-out to the TEA Party, we need this guy around. Stacy McCain reports Trump's considered by some to be the TEA Party favorite.

I'm as aware as anybody of Trump's negatives as a candidate, but I'll tell you this: outside of defense issues, debt and jump-starting the entrepreneurial class in this country are top of every sane GOPer's list. Alas, there's only one guy here that can say he's ever put people and resources together to conquer a challenge on this scale... and this one actually enjoys it.

As Cavuto quipped on Fox "Guys who build skyscrapers with their name on them" know how to get things done. 

And plenty of positive buzz out there...

I disagree with Matt Latimer’s assessment of Trump will not run. 

He’s ruined 'Trump the entertainer' brand and has crossed the Rubicon. 

Clearly he’s going all in and is giving voice to segment of the Conservative movement that hasn’t had one since Reagan. 

Palin came close but she was smeared by the Left and was brought out too early. Trump knows the media very well and is not afraid of them. 

Ironically he’s being attacked by Republcians and not the Left. I hope he turns his guns on the Rockefeller republicans and smashes them once and for all. 

Trump speaks the truth and the American people are tired of lies.

Chris Moody at The Daily Caller says TEA Party hero Rep Allen West and Trump will share a stage in Florida this weekend...
Florida Congressman and Tea Party favorite Allen West isn’t opposed to the idea of joining possible presidential contender Donald Trump, West told The Daily Caller Thursday.

West said when asked if he’d accept a veep invitation from Trump. “If the people think that I have an ability to continue my service of my country in a different capacity, first of all we gotta talk to God, we gotta talk to my family, we gotta talk to the constituents.”

Trump and West will speak at the same Tea Party rally in Boca Raton, Florida this Saturday.

And is Mark Levin slipping? From where I'm standing, blogger Lame Cherry handed the guy his hat with

It is always interesting when you see someone like Mark Levin just go off on Donald Trump.

Psychologically, it means Mark Levin views Donald Trump as a threat.........one weighs whether a person is a friend or a threat.......if a threat, apprehension builds, then emotional outburst ensues which leads to attacks to neutralize the threat.

What is fascinating in how an accomplished Gentleman like Mark Levin would view Donald Trump a threat, unless he notes in Mr. Trump an upset in the apple cart which Levin and his limbs of Limbaugh and Hannity have decided who will be the Republican nominee.

I will be frank. Donald Trump is an accomplished builder of things big and extravagant. He does this immensely well in dealing with industry, union thugs, government trolls and the economy. He has had problems in marriage, has had problems in business, but that is what an American industrialist is.......you have ups and downs in taking chances in life.

I view Donald Trump not in the least as a threat. I am wary of him as he did support Obama like many did, but he is saying all the right things now. 

I don't care as Mr. Levin nit picks about what the Donald only speaks of on a few issues, as Ronald Reagan had his triad and that is where he focused too. 

Could Donald Trump be using this as a publicity stunt? Sure he can be up to something, but in that I see the way of utilizing Donald Trump which Mark Levin should.

Biden Claims Hoffman "Handpicked by Rush Limbaugh"


While speaking to a pitiful half-full hall of cca 250 people in Watertown NY, Sloe Joe Biden lumped-together conservative NY-23 candidate Doug Hoffman and his major supporters as "neoconservatives" who "won't tolerate opposing views".

And if LOL Czar Joey Plugs planned, got up early, and gave-it-all-he's-got... he could possibly be more of a hypocrite than this. Coming from the most partisan and radical administration in American history, painting Doug Hoffman as intolerant of political opposition strikes one as pretty rich.


As reported by the Watertown Daily Times, Joey Plugs went-on to claim that Hoffman was annointed by Rush Limbaugh as the successor to Army Secty. John McHugh- huh?

Is the GOP in Need of a "Leader"?


Riehl World View has a piece up on Instapundit Glenn Reynolds' interview on PJTV with Mark Levin, which touched-on the question of whether or not the GOP and conservatives need a "leader." [10:35].

Note [7:45] Renolds admitting that even he thought that Levin and others on talk-radio were over-the-top in their 2008 rants re. Obama's plans for apppeasement and a massive socialist agenda... when in reality it's all turned out far, far worse than even their direst predictions... with Obama like a "central-casting villain".

And where do you hear this call for a conservative "leader" coming from, anyway?

Primarily the Left and MSM, of course... most conservatives feel that our ideas unite us just fine at this point- as evidenced on 9/12. And we all know new leadership will evolve into 2012... as Levin says, "the grass-roots in leading the way".

But the Alinskyites of Team Obama/DNC/MSM desperately need for us to have a "leader"... so they have a target. One of Alinsky's primary tenents is to personalize the battle, to single-out a class "enemy" and attack him- just like the Bolsheviks that they are. The Left needs this SO badly in-fact that they attempted to crown a GOP "leader" -Rush Limbaugh- pounding this talking point hard, have constructed rhetorical strawmen, and/or attacked Palin when no such "leader" was provided...
Rules for Radicals' # 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.
One could make the argument that there's really no need for a GOP leader/front-runner until 2011... with the people deciding, not the party... as re. Barack Obama, it was the GOP's base out-there in fly-over country that got it right... and DC-based party leadership that got it oh-so wrong. 2010 will make or break a few careers on both sides of the isle, so let that play-out first. IMO the Democrats will be facing a bloodbath- so we'll just see who emerges once the dust settles.

Sorry Dems- only 14 mos until it's time to face the music... and good luck with that. Now would be a good time to start hedging... you know what you need to do on Obamacare if you plan to stay in the same line of work.

Team Obama vs. Rush Limbaugh: Republicans, Don't Take the Bait


While I do believe in a post-racial selection process, I don't know for a fact just how much race weighed in the choice of Michael Steele for RNC Chairman- it's wrong to assume, and also unfair to Mr Steele. It seems obvious to many, though, that it was a factor in some way.  One could also argue that it was wise for Republicans to have taken it into consideration- as anyone who doesn't think Barack Obama is trying to draw racial lines and close-off the GOP into an enduring electoral ghetto isn't paying attention.

That said, I think Steele's a good speaker, and deserves a chance.  I liked his delivery on the weekly Republican address [link] and at the State of Black America forum... where he said of his pending calls on the black community "I know some of you are going to yell at me, but I'm coming anyway".   His only "crime" was using the word "ugly" to describe Limbaugh's show on CNN, who of course says things to be controversial and gather atttention, it's obviously part of what's made him successful.  Rush has built his whole career on speaking his mind, so what choice did he then have but to give the RNC chairman a piece of it?

Mr Steele also finds himself in a difficult position if he is expected to reach-out to minorities and bring them into the party, when many of them may feel Limbaugh is somehow against them.   The White House and MSM know this, and will continue to put him and other Republicans on the spot with specious questions about Rush Limbaugh.  And Steele was basically right, he just should have put it a little differently, so give the guy a break. He then showed class, and apologized.

The lesson in this week's episode is that all Republicans should not get into inessential and otiose arguments regarding and/or with Rush Limbaugh... exactly as the scheming and underhanded Obama and Emanuel have meticulously planned- DO NOT go for the bait. 

This propaganda offensive is meant to divert attention from Obama's ongoing demolition of the country, and drive a wedge between his opponents- betraying insecurity and lack of scruples on his part. The President disengenuously portrays the Republican Party as monolithic and single-minded on one hand, while attempting to exploit the differences that he full-well knows exist on the other. What is obvious is that this political charlatan is out to destroy all legitimate opposition to his ill-concieved policies, and by any means necessary. 

Barack Obama also displays signs of a naricissistic personality disorder, and therefore has difficulty dealing with critisism of any sort- making Mr Limbaugh all the more a problem in his mind. Today I read on the Riehl World View of Obama's connection to the recent series of anti-Rush Limbaugh ads (some even in Spanish) [link] through DNC communications operative Brad Woodhouse... allowing Obama to keep a safe distance while others do the dirty work. 

And Obama mentor Saul Alinsky's 1971 handbook Rules for Radicals [link]  outlined the techniques being used by this administration to try and break any link between Mr Limbaugh and the GOP:




Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”   

So, the President knows well that marginalizing and demonizing his strongest opponents could intimidate the fainthearted into supporting or withholding criticism of his policies and increase his chances for success. Alinsky would have likely couched this in different terms, but it's basically a divide-and-conquer approach. The goal is to single Rush Limbaugh out, pick him off, and pull him away from influencing the GOP.

And while Michael Steele was correct in noting that Limbaugh is primarily an "entertainer", the Democrats have no justification to condescendingly purport that this mere "entertainer" is the leader of the Republican Party.   Yes, Rush Limbaugh is and entertainer- an influental one who became highly successful in the free market because millions of people want to hear what he has to say. And a lot of conservatives are glad he's around, because a lot of it needs to be put out there... when nobody else in the party is saying it. 

I only listen to the show infrequently, but you don't see the GOP putting him in the Senate, do you? Or any office or official party position whatsoever?  

Compare this to Al Franken... have the Democrats forgot about that? Franken's radio show was a flop because few wanted to hear his boring anti-American drivel, but that didn't stop the DNC from putting this bozo on the ballot.  And they'd have done the same for Chris Tingle Matthews if the polls hadn't revealed widespread revulsion at the thought. 



Has Al Franken done anything in his life other than "entertainer" and author... exactly the same as Rush Limbaugh? So, a failed entertainer is OK for Senator... but a successful one (who is a major threat to Obama, apparently) isn't allowed to even have influence? 

Limbaugh and the GOP would be well-advised to ignore these malicious hypocrites, and above all, don't play their game. President Obama looks desperate and insecure going after Limbaugh, so just let him go-down with his own misguided policies... shouldn't take long now.
