Bench’s newest billboard featuring the half-Pinoy half-Puerto Rican pop star Bruno Mars
If Penshoppe went to Hollywood to hire Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick as its newest endorser, Bench goes to Mars.
I’m not even sure if my lead made sense but all I have to say is that the battle of foreign endorsers for local apparel brands is on!
If Kamiseta has Katie Holmes and Penshoppe has Ed Westwick, Bench will not be left behind. The popular apparel brand has inked a deal with Grammy Award-winning artist Bruno Mars!
The online poster above is still the teaser ad that has been circulating on the internet. But if you happen to come across EDSA corner Magallanes, you will see Bench’s newest billboard featuring the half-Pinoy half-Puerto Rican pop star Bruno Mars.
So the Taylor-Lautner-as-new-Bench-endorser rumor is officially dead. Bench got Mars and what’s nice about the idea is that the “Just the Way You Are” singer has Filipino blood – the perfect representation of a Filipino global brand.

BRUNO MARS - Just The Way you are (AUDIO)
Just The Way You Are
Oh her eyes her eyes make the stars look like theyre not shining
Her hair her hair falls perfectly without her trying
She's so beautiful
And I tell her everyday
Yeah I know I know when I complement her she wont believe me
Its so its so sad to think she don't see what I see
But every time she asks me "do I look okay?"
I say
CHORUS:
When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are.
Her lips her lips I could kiss them all day if she let me
Her laugh her laugh she hates
But I think its so sexy
Shes so beautiful
And I tell her everyday
Oh you know you know I'd never ask you to change
If perfect's what you're searching for
Then just stay the same
So don't even bother asking if you look okay
You'll know I'll say
CHORUS:
When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cuz you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
Cuz girl you're amazing
Just the way you are
The way you are, the way you are
Girl you're amazing, just the way you are
When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cuz you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
Cuz girl you're amazing
Just the way you are
Yeah-ahh.
BRUNO MARS - Again (AUDIO) And Lyrics
Hands over my head thinking 'what else could go wrong?'
Would've stayed in bed, how can a day be so long?
Never believed that things happen for a reason
But how this turned out, you moved all my doubts, So believe
That for you I'll do it all over again
Do it all over again
All I went through, led me to you
So I'd do it all over again
For you
I missed the first train, stood out in the rain, all day
Little did I know
When I caught the next train, there you were to sweep me away
Guess that's what I've waited for
Never believed that things happened for a reason
But how this turned out, you moved all my doubts, So believe
That for you I'd do it all over again
Do it all over again
All I went through, led me to you
So I'd do it all over again
(Ohh) Who ever thought a day gone so wrong, would turn out so lovely
I'm so glad I found you
Even though the day went so wrong, I wouldn't change a thing (yeah, yeah, oh I'll do it)
I'd do it all over again
Do it all over again
All I went through, led me to you
So I'd do it all over again (yeah, yeah ohhh)
I'd do it all over again (I'd do it all over, I'd do it all over)
Do it all over again (I'd do it all over for you, for you)
All I went through, led me to you (all I went through, it led me to you)
So I'd do it all over again (over again)
Who ever thought a day gone so wrong, could turn out so lovely ohh
Who ever thought a day gone so wrong, could turn out so lovely
BRUNO MARS - Talking to the Moon Lyrics and Audio

Talking to the Moon – Bruno Mars Song Lyrics
I know you’re somewhere out there
Somewhere far away
I want you back
I want you back
My neighbors think
I’m crazy
But they don’t understand
You’re all I have
You’re all I have
Chorus:
At night when the stars
light up my room
I sit by myself
Talking to the Moon
Trying to get to You
In hopes you’re on
the other side
Talking to me too
Or am I a fool
who sits alone
Talking to the moon
I’m feeling like I’m famous
The talk of the town
They say
I’ve gone mad
Yeah
I’ve gone mad
But they don’t know
what I know
Cause when the
sun goes down
someone’s talking back
Yeah
They’re talking back
Chorus:
At night when the stars
light up my room
I sit by myself
Talking to the Moon
Trying to get to You
In hopes you’re on
the other side
Talking to me too
Or am I a fool
who sits alone
Talking to the moon
Ahh Ahh,
Ahh Ahh,
Do you ever hear me calling?
Cause every night
I’m talking to the moon
Still trying to get to you
In hopes you’re on
the other side
Talking to me too
Or am I a fool
who sits alone
Talking to the moon
I know you’re somewhere out there
Somewhere far away
BRUNO MARS - Count on me (AUDIO) and (LYRICS)

Count on Me – Bruno Mars Song Lyrics
If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea
I’ll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can’t see
I’ll be the light to guide you
Find out what we’re made of
What we are called to help our friends in need
You can count on me like one, two, three
I’ll be there and I know when I need it
I can count on you like four, three, two
And you’ll be there ’cause that’s what friends
Are supposed to do, oh yeah, ooh, ooh
If you toss and you turn and you just can’t fall asleep
I’ll sing a song beside you
And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me
Everyday I will remind you
Find out what we’re made of
What we are called to help our friends in need
You can count on me like one, two, three
I’ll be there and I know when I need it
I can count on you like four, three, two
And you’ll be there ’cause that’s what friends
Are supposed to do, oh yeah, ooh, ooh, yeah, yeah
You’ll always have my shoulder when you cry
I’ll never let go, never say goodbye
You can count on me like one, two, three
I’ll be there and I know when I need it
I can count on you like four, three, two
And you’ll be there ’cause that’s what friends
Are supposed to do, oh yeah, ooh, ooh
You can count on me ’cause I can count on you
BRUNO MARS - Girl in the Window (LYRICS)

Girl in the Window – Bruno Mars Song Lyrics
Staring from my room I see them
Holding hands wish I could be them
Lovers doing what we use to do
(but I’m stuck here alone)
That’s the way it’s been here lately
You’re too busy now to save me
Feels like you forget I’m waiting for you
Sometimes I wish I could just let go
But I love you (I love you)
And I believe that one day you will come around
But can you tell me
How do I always end up being the girl at the window
(Window, window)
I tell myself I’m not gonna wait for you whenever you go
(You go, you go)
You give me your word and I always take it
You say you’ll be home but you never make it
So why do I…
Always end up that girl at the window (the window)
The girl at the window
I know you’re working that’s why you’re leaving
I will never argue your reasons
If this means that you believe in them
Oh time goes on and we’re growing apart
Broken promises break my heart
Please don’t give me a reason to say goodbye
Sometimes I wish I could just let go
But I love you (I love you)
And I believe that one day you will come around
But can you tell me
How do I always end up being the girl at the window
(Window, window)
I tell myself I’m not gonna wait for you whenever you go
(You go, you go)
You give me your word and I always take it
You say you’ll be home but you never make it
So why do I…
Always end up that girl at the window (the window)
The girl at the window
How can I be what you’re saying
When you keep turning all the pages
Am I suppose to believe your words are true
Don’t take advantage of me cause you know I won’t leave you
I make sure you know I always wanna see you
Whoa won’t you do it for me too
Oh how do I always end up being the girl at the window
(Window, window)
I tell myself I’m not gonna wait for you whenever you go
(You go, you go)
You give me your word and I always take it
You say you’ll be home but you never make it
So why do I…
Always end up that girl at the window (the window)

BRUNO MARS - Marry You (AUDIO) and (LYRICS)

Marry You – Bruno Mars Song Lyrics
It’s a beautiful night,
We’re looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
Well I know this little chapel on the boulevard we can go,
No one will know,
Come on girl.
Who cares if we’re trashed got a pocket full of cash we can blow,
Shots of patron,
And it’s on girl.
Don’t say no, no, no, no-no;
Just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah;
And we’ll go, go, go, go-go.
If you’re ready, like I’m ready.
Cause it’s a beautiful night,
We’re looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
I’ll go get a ring let the choir bells sing like oooh,
So whatcha wanna do?
Let’s just run girl.
If we wake up and you wanna break up that’s cool.
No, I won’t blame you;
It was fun girl.
Don’t say no, no, no, no-no;
Just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah;
And we’ll go, go, go, go-go.
If you’re ready, like I’m ready.
Cause it’s a beautiful night,
We’re looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
Just say I do,
Tell me right now baby,
Tell me right now baby. x2
Cause it’s a beautiful night,
We’re looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.
BRUNO MARS - Who Is (AUDIO) Lyrics
(Who Is)
Oh, I was perfect
For the circus
If she dared me, I do it
Love makes you stupid
I gave it up, But i guess it was not enough
Cause she never seemed satisfied
(Oohh)
(Chor us)
I Know i'm not perfect
But at the end of the day
Who is?
(Oohh)
She wanted someone thats perfect
Well Okay
But can you tell me Who is ?
(Oohh x2)
She set the bar
Just above the stars
A rocket couldn't reach it
But I still kept on reaching
She watched me try
At least a thousand times
If she loved me, She'd stop me But noo
(Oohh)
I Know I'm not perfect
But at the end of the day
Who is?
(Oohh)
She wanted someone thats perfect
Well Okay
But can you tell me Who is?
I saw something worth my future
So wrong So wrong
In my mind I was all it took
But I guess I wasn't wrong
(Oohh)
I Know I'm not perfect
But at the end of the day
Who is?
(Oohh)
She wanted someone thats perfect
Well Okay
But can you tell me Who is?
(Oohh x2)

Lady Gaga - Judas
Yes, it's basically Bad Romance Part Two, but you can't deny that the thing's catchy. A little more innovation would have bumped this up a notch, but Gaga by the numbers is still something to get excited about. A-
Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat
The latest European dance hit, sampling a saxophone loop. It's hardly original, and it's not as catchy as either We No Speak Americano or Stereo Love, two similar hits in this genre. It's just a little dull. C+
Jennifer Lopez - Papi
After On The Floor, which I loved, Jennifer Lopez suddenly got interesting again. This isn't quite up to that level, even though it strives for the same international appeal. Still, it's better than the stuff she's been releasing the past few years. B
Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars
After hitting it big in the UK, this seems to be Tempah's American breakthrough. It's got a nice hook that reminds me of that Airplanes song from last summer. It's better than that, though nothing that's really knocking my socks off. The surging production is the best part. B-
Owl City - Galaxies
A couple years ago, I hated nothing more than Owl City and his whiny Fireflies song. The vocals in this are so much more tolerable and the melody and production is shockingly good. What ruins it are the cheesy religious lyrics. I wish they were in another language so that I could ignore them. B
LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
A hit around the world, this has (weirdly) yet to strike in America. Give it time. This will be everywhere. It's irritating, yet somehow it's almost impossible not to like. It's what BEP could sound like if they didn't take themselves so seriously. The video's better than the song, though. B-
Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song
After a pair of strong singles, this Jason Mraz castoff is a misstep. I can't believe this was chosen as a single. It's a weak album track, at best, with annoying lyrics. I hope to god I don't have to hear this over and over on the radio. D+

A plea deal for Grammy-nominated singer Bruno Mars which will avoid jail time for the drug charges stemming from his cocaine bust last year.

Jessie J - Do It Like A Dude
I like this girl because I think she's got charisma. But... I'm not crazy about this song. It grates a little and I just feel like for as much hype as she's getting, she could've come with something more original. B-
The Wanted - Lose My Mind
Their debut album was stronger than it had to be and really quite a good listen, but this song has never screamed "single" to me. It's one of their more skippable tracks, particularly because it sounds way too much like Kings of Leon. As an album track, I love it, but I wish it would've stayed that way. B
Bruno Mars - Grenade
He was smart to release this, one of his album's strongest tracks, as a single. If he continues this quality, he's going to have quite a career. The vocals are amazing. A-
Coldplay - Christmas Lights
If any band were made to write a Christmas song, it would be Coldplay (especially after Clocks). This is somewhat underwhelming, mostly because it really doesn't sound like Christmas at all. That's probably the point, but to me it's a missed opportunity. C+
Sugarland - Stuck Like Glue
I first heard this a couple of months ago and thought: "hey, this country song could totally cross over to pop radio." And it did. It's dangerously catchy. I'm not even sure if I like it, but I can't resist it, which means once it becomes even more ubiquitous I'm sure I'll hate it. For now, it's an A-
Wiz Khalifa - Black And Yellow
I was all prepared to hate this, but the beat's actually really good and the hook's not bad either. I could see this easily pulling 50 Cent In Da Club type success and crossing over. It's not really my thing, but for what it is it's solid. B
Natalia Kills - Mirrors
This reminds me a little of what Lady Gaga sounded like when she first came out. It's great, but the only problem is that we have a Lady Gaga already and it's just a little too similar. Even the vocal delivery is the same. That being said, I'm liking this more each time I hear it. A week ago this would've been a B- at most. Now it's a B+

Alexandra Burke - Start Without You A RedOne production, which in itself is something to be thankful for because he compliments Alexandra quite well. This wasn't on the album, but should have been. It's got a bit of novelty to it with the Caribbean feel, but it's fun late-Summer pop. B+
Cee Lo Green - FU
He's finally found another track to rival Crazy! This is great, old-school soul (though the hook's foul-mouthed lyrics are bound to get him censored). A-
Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are
Currently the number one song on US itunes, this is a slightly trancey ballad that's actually better than I expected. The melody's nice, if a little boyband. It sounds very current, in a way that's pleasant now but completely forgettable down the road. B-
Taylor Swift - Mine
And she's regurgitated the same single over again. Each time, the music becomes less charming. This targets her audience perfectly, but it's just grating for the rest of us. C
Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World)
It's back to uptempo dance music for Rihanna. This is a good thing, and this is a great song. There's a danger of this sounding like everything else out there, but she definitely puts her own stamp on it. A promising taster from the new album. A
Selena Gomez & the Scene - A Year Without Rain
Ends her string of great bubblegum pop singles. This is her trying to be serious, which results in a snore of a song that's more mood than melody. Too bad. It's her first big misstep as far as singles go. C+
Olly Murs - Please Don't Let Me Go
He was a consummate song and dance man on X-Factor, but this dials down the showmanship in favor of a Jason Mraz sound. It's not annoying, but it's not interesting either. It's just sort of there. B-
