Rufa Mae Quinto & Miriam Quiambao in "Relationship Status: SINGLE" documentary

Investigating the increasing number of bachelorettes in the Philippines in this special GMA News TV documentary titled "Relationship Status: SINGLE", hosted by actress Rufa Mae Quinto and former beauty queen/actress Miriam Quiambao.

"Data from the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) reveal that 6 out of 100 Filipinas from 35-49 years old have never been married, a number up from ten years ago. Many of them remain single by choice. The question is: why are more Pinays opting to delay marriage?

Miss Tapia, grumpy, conservative, old maid -- these disparaging terms used to describe unmarried women. But in Relationship Status: SINGLE, GMA News TV shows that there are women who accept this not as a curse but as an opportunity for a freer, happier life. Hosted by Rufa Mae Quinto and Miriam Quiambao, two women who epitomize being single and proud, the documentary presents the joys and pains of “modern bachelorettes.”

Rufa Mae and Miriam meet Chette, a 50-year old NBSB, or No Boyfriend Since Birth, who answers a curious question: is she a 50-year old virgin? She also tries speed dating in the hopes of meeting the elusive Mr. Right.

And there is the beautiful Pinky Amador, who remains as single as the number 1 can be. She confesses that she has not found Mr. Right yet but reveals many other facets about the "cougar" label.

All men beware! Relationship Status: SINGLE bares the truth that more and more single women are now realizing: happiness can be found even without men."

This interesting documentary airs on Sunday August 28 at 8:45 p.m. on GMA News TV Channel 11.

Survivor Philippines season 4 teaser (Videos)

Checkout the two animated short teasers for the upcoming season four of GMA-7's Survivor Philippines!

Who will be the master of blindsiding and manipulation? Who will be the new Pinoy sole Survivor?

The first season of Survivor Philippines took place in Ko Tarutao, Thailand and it is won by John Carlo "JC" Tiuseco, a model, student and basketball player from Manila.

The second season dubbed as Survivor Philippines: Palau aired for 13 weeks from August to November 2009. The winner was Amanda Coolley Van Cooll, a construction worker from Mindoro.

The third season is an all-star battle dubbed as Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown, premiered on August 30, 2010. Actor Richard Gutierrez replaced Paolo Bediones as host of the show. The winner was Akihiro Sato, a Brazilian-Japanese model and TV actor.

GMA-7’s Koreanovela "Big Thing" airs August 8

GMA-7 will be parading tonight the Koreanovela that received the most trophies in the 2010 SBS Drama Awards. Discover the extraordinary courage of a woman who defies and conquers the dirty world of politics in the "Big Thing"! [Trailer Below]

Starring Korean actress Ko Hyun Jung, who portrayed Lady Mishil in Queen Seon Deok. This time, however, she is no longer the villain but is now the main protagonist of the story.

Kwon Sang Woo, who is popularly known as Cholo of Stairway to Heaven, also makes a comeback and plays as a prosecutor named Edward Ha.

The story of Big Thing tells of Maureen’s (Ko Hyun Jung) rise to power as the first female president of South Korea. She started as a TV announcer who protested against the government because of her husband’s death in the hands of terrorists.

Two men aide her to succeed in politics: Edward, her friend who secretly loves her; and Victor Kang (Cha In Pyo), the congressman who urged her to run for president for his own ambitions.

Can Maureen survive the difficult and sometimes dirty world of politics? Whom should she trust? Is there a room for love in her life – both as a single mom and as a head of state?

Big Thing promises a highly interesting and relatable plot to the Filipino people. After having two female presidents, Filipinos will definitely want to know the ins and outs of politics from a strong woman’s point of view.

Airing begins August 8 on the GMA-7's primetime block.

GMA-7: Hypnotism in “Mind Master"

Pinoy mentalist Nomer Lasala takes viewers in a trance as he performs hypnotism acts this Sunday on GMA Network’s Mind Master.

In this week’s episode, Nomer controls the minds of celebrity guests LJ Reyes, Ryza Cenon and Rhian Ramos with an act that makes them reveal a cellphone number out of digits they randomly give. Whose cellphone number could it be?

Meanwhile, Party Pilipinas dance head and choreographer Miggy Tanchanco makes a decision of a lifetime. He decides to quit smoking, and through hypnotism, his body will soon withdraw the addiction. Witness how Nomer conquers this difficult feat.

The show's live audience is also not spared from mentalism as Nomer performs Mass Hypnosis. From there, he singles out a female member of the audience and hypnotizes her to switch identities with her dog.

Nomer's mentor David Elefant also graces the show to exhibit his own hypnotism acts.

Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe in Mistaken Identity

This Saturday (July 23), viewers will surely get caught up in the lighthearted romantic drama between Kapuso Network's Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino as they star in the four-part TV special titled, MISTAKEN IDENTITY, right before Eat Bulaga.

Mistaken Identity tells the story of a young journalist who finds genuine love when she least expects it, at the same time, proves the saying that 'love knows no boundaries'.

In search of an interesting feature story, Ada (Lovi) travels to an island in Ilocos where she meets a handsome native named Sinag (Rocco). They would constantly bump into each other in the village and during these occasions, Ada notices Sinag's arm band and tribal accessories.

Ada quickly assumes that he is the reclusive Prince of the island and befriends him. But it turns out to be a case of mistaken identity. Sinag is the cousin of the real Prince and is just pretending to be the real prince, under the orders of Queen Mercedes (Gloria Diaz) and Prince Kali (Luis Alandy).

Sinag and Ada's playful friendship blossoms into a full-blown romance and this special relationship of the two unlikely lovers earns the ire of Prince Kali who secretly has feelings for Ada. He will then do everything in his power to win the heart of the lovely journalist.

How far will Prince Kali ruin Sinag's credibility? Will Sinag divulge the truth to Ada and reveal his true identity? Will Ada and Sinag's whirlwind romance be for keeps?

Under the direction of Topel Lee, the first part of Mistaken Identity airs this Saturday (July 23) right before Eat Bulaga on GMA.

'Party Pilipinas Rewind' for the Easter Celebration

GMA-7's Party Pilipinas will be celebrating the Easter (April 24) with the theme "Rewind" -- bringing back memorable episodes that made a mark.

Sunshine Dizon welcomes a baby girl!

GMA-7 actress Sunshine Dizon will now be singing lullaby as she and husband Timothy Tan have welcomed their first child via caesarean section.

According to PEP, the award-winning actress gave birth to healthy baby girl on April 18 at 7:00 pm in an undisclosed hospital in Manila.

Dizon and Tan tied the knot on March 25, 2010 at Valle Verde 6 in Pasig City.
