Former Senator John Edwards flashes her pearly whites and managed to stay calmed as his mug shot was taken earlier this month in connection with federal corruption charges: Conspiracy, four counts of illegal campaign contributions, and one count of false statements.

Edwards allegedly used nearly $1 million in illegal campaign funds to help cover up his affair with Rielle Hunter and their love child during 2008 presidential campaign.

Edwards pleaded not guilty.

The National Enquirer -which first broke the Edwards/Hunter scandal in 2007- is now reporting that those close to the foolhardy egomaniac say he's lost 20lbs... is a "broken spirit" who's drinking heavily... and even entertains suicidal thoughts now that a trip to the Gray Bar Hotel seems possible- if not likely.

Of particular concern is John Edward's former staffer Andrew Young, who's actually got an Edwards "sex tape" -for which Rielle Hunter is now suing- and wrote a book (published in February) regarding a cover-up that once had him claiming to be father of Edwards' and Hunter's love child. And the myriad additional revelations within reveal a cynical and selfish moral black-hole entirely unlike the smiling, tanned Ken Doll once presented for electoral consumption.

Mr Young now appears ready to take the stand against his former boss in any trial(s) that results from current federal grand jury investigation into just how much campaign money he steered to space cadet/ homewrecker Rielle Hunter.

According to a report today in The Daily Mail, when John Edwards' legal team informed him that he may be facing hard time, the disgraced show horse bawled his eyes out and exclaimed "I won't go to jail- I'd kill myself first!".

Small wonder then that the Left remains obsessed with slandering Bush and Cheney ad infinitum... they need to warp the curve a bit, look at the shameless reprobates they put up for president.

And millions were ready to even put this guy in the White House. At least Obama's sufficiently terrified of his wife- who -judging by the effeminate demeanor- appears to have had that boy fixed.
