'Generic Republican Candidate' Leading Obama 46-44% in Latest Poll

Dear Leader already trailing anybody-but-Obama...
now watch as the economy really tanks

This is the third week now Rasmussen finds Obama in negative territory vs. a 'generic' GOPer... clearly the OBL bump is gone. And do you know why theirs are the only polls I would ever take at face value...?

First, Rasmussen's well-documented and widely-acclaimed accuracy emanates from polling only likely voters... not just "adults" like others. Simply quizzing any grown-ups Gallup can reach on the phone who are willing to talk to them means many of the fine citizens they manage to scrape-up have never voted (nor worked) a day in their lives... thus, predictably warping poll results to the left of where the actual voters' heads are at.

And you'd never see the kind of skewed samples from Rasmussen that others employ, either... another stunt we've seen with increasing frequency in recent MSM efforts to prop-up the floundering Obammunist regime.

Then consider the superior methodology employed in the production of Rasmussen's popular Daily Presidential Tracking Poll: not only does Rasmussen again interview only likely voters, the DTTP index counts hard sentiment, bypassing those who just flipped a coin-- by subtracting "strongly dissapprove" of Obama from "strongly approve": the number deduced today a pitiful -17%.

Contrast that with left-leaning Gallup's polling of "national adults" and simply "approve" vs "dissapprove"... producing the far more palatable 47/47, in other words zero differential vs. Rasmussen's reality-based -17.... you tell me which seems closer to the sentiment out there on the ground, all I can say is that I don't know a single soul who's happy with this Twilight Zone episode of a presidency.

Of course, Rasmussen's insightful and accurate polling isn't of much use to many that don't want to hear the grim truth sometimes... thus leaving a large market opening for those willing to serve the unprincipled agenda of the Left.

Hope-n-Change Death Watch

Obama "out-of-touch with 80% of the American people"...

It's become common knowledge that the power-mad American Left is in deep, deep political trouble primarily due to the reckless expansion of government engineered by Team Obama. But while many conservatives are nervously pondering what could go wrong in the next few days to blow this precious opportunity, others see a larger, deeper change in the political environment of our country that goes much farther than just a single election cycle... myself included.

It increasingly does appear that we are experiencing a full-on renaissance of the American conservative movement... one based on personal liberty and fiscal discipline, and under perhaps a wider social-issues tent then in the past. It's the opposition to outrageous spending and the Dems' Big Government agenda that brought the TEA Party movement to the verge of power, and it's those issues that unite the resurgent Right in America today.

Here in the run-up to perhaps the most vital mid-term elections in US history, Nile Gardiner at The Telegraph (UK) says it's not just the tone of this mid-term election... but the sheer scale of the conservative wave sweeping America that really makes the impression on him. As for the now-ubiquitous Titanic analogies... better think Poseidon Adventure:

Gallup has another devastating poll which makes extremely grim reading for the White House today. Gallup’s polling shows that 48 percent of Americans now regard themselves as conservative, higher than each of the last three midterms, compared to just 20 percent who describe themselves as liberals. In addition, Gallup reveals that 55 percent of likely voters next week are Republican or lean Republican, in contrast to 40 percent who are Democrat or lean Democrat...

The poll underscores not only the huge advantage the Republicans have going into next week’s election, but also the sheer scale of the conservative revolution in America. As Gallup shows, conservatives now outnumber liberals by an almost 2.5 to 1 ratio. Liberals make up just 20 percent of the American population. Barack Obama is the most left-wing president in US history, and is clearly out of touch with at least 80 percent of the American people, who clearly do not share his ideology.

Next Tuesday looks set to be an epic disaster for the Left in America, and the capsizing of the president’s Big Government dream.

More Independents Leaning GOP; Party Gap Smallest Since 2005

According to pollsters at Gallup, 48% of Americans identified politically as Democrats... or said they were independent but leaned to the Democratic Party.

At the same time, 42% identified as Republicans or as independents who leaned Republican. That six-point spread in leaned party affiliation is the smallest Gallup has measured since 2005.

The last time Republicans were this close to Democrats in terms of total party support was back in early-mid 2005... when George W. Bush was just in the early months of his second term as president... Read more -here-
