Telegram for Iran... and Team Obama

In the Six-Day War of 1967- which was primarily an Israeli pre-emptive attack upon Arab units consisting of 465,000 troops, over 2,880 tanks, and 810 aircraft, Israel crushed these combined offensive military forces of Egypt, Jordan and Syria... and seized large amounts of land from each. This conquest of Palestinian-populated areas of the West Bank from Jordan, and Gaza from Egypt, was the birth of a long-problematic Israeli occupation there. Israel didn't want to gain and control these territories; the result arose from defeating an existential threat from enemies that surrounded them... and subsequently, the establishment of a new defensive, strategic depth.

Israel ended the 38-year occupation of Gaza in 2005, but the gesture did not lead to better relations with the Palestinians... who never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Instead, the evacuation was exploited by Hamas to develop their military capabilities and use the Gaza Strip as a launching pad for rocket attacks on Israeli border communities. In early 2008, both sides agreed to a truce, but this began unraveling in early November.

Today, there is only one country in the world that is expected to "exercise restraint" in responding to attacks like those from Iranian proxy Hamas, and that country is Israel. Any response necessary to terminate the 3000 Hamas missile-launches aimed at her southern communities this year, with Hamas even targeting Jewish schools and day-care centers, cannot justly be labeled "disproportionate"- but of course, in some quarters it has already been condemned as such.

The military campaign in Gaza that we are now witnessing follows a decision by Prime Minister Olmert's security cabinet to widen reprisals for Palestinian rocket attacks following the collapse of the ceasefire agreement. There was also pressure on Israeli political leaders to act as the February 10th election approaches. Defense Minister Ehud Barak said "We face a period that will be neither easy nor short, and will require determination and perseverance until the necessary change is achieved in the situation in the south."

Israel bombed numerous Hamas military targets, including the the tunnels under the Egyptian border, used for smuggling of weapons and overpriced commercial goods, which had allowed Hamas to profit handsomely from the suffering of their people under the Israeli blockade, itself a reaction to Hamas' rocket attacks- talk about developing your own market.

Recently, the Islamic militants that rule Gaza expanded the range of their rockets from 20 km to 40km, enabling them to reach at least 8 additional Israeli towns....placing more than a million citizens at their mercy. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) is also well-aware that Hamas has used the ceasefire period to evolve into what now resembles a full-fledged army. Numbering some 20,000 fighters, Hamas units are now divided into regions, and have a clearly-defined chain of command. It now has infantry units, a naval force, bomb-placing and rocket-launching teams, an intelligence unit, and more.

Hamas commanders have also been training with Republican Guard units in Iran, and have benefited from a steady influx of heavy weapons and ammunition smuggled from both Iran and Lebanon. Israel's leaders have extremely limited options for dealing with the Palestinians, primarily due to the fanatical instragence of Hamas... and so, cannot afford to ignore such a developing threat on their doorstep any more than they can continue to ignore the shower of missiles.

"Right now, we are not considering an end to the fighting," Israeli Cabinet Secretary Oved Yehezkel said on Israel Radio. "We have the time, patience and means ... to return life in southern Israel to normal." And it now appears that Hamas will soon be facing a devastating ground offensive, as well- to be performed with surgical precision upon specific Hamas assets.

Arab states and western liberals "call on both sides to exercise restraint", but you have to wonder where they've been in the midst of this year's 3000+ missile attacks. Where was the international outrage when southern Israeli towns were reduced to begging their government to defend them?

The root of the Palestinian unrest has long been the occupation of the West Bank, and until three years ago, Gaza- as these territories where captured in the Six Day War. Now, as Israel faces relentless diplomatic pressure to help the Palestinians found their own state on these territories, it is hard to make the argument that returning the West Bank to the Palestinians would bring peace... where is the precedent, in Gaza?

As many Arab states and others had encouraged Israel to withdraw from Gaza in 2005, there was a paucity of guidance and support from them that would have made this move a success. Most Israelis would love to wash their hands of the West Bank and Gaza permanently, but now is clearly not a point in time where it makes sense from a security standpoint... and almost completely due to the irresponsible behavior of the Palestinians.

Moral relativism that paints Israel with the same brush as Hamas is not only dangerous nonsense, but of course a major obstacle to restraining all such extremist, obstructionist organizations. For the international interlopers who promote an immediate land-for-peace deal with the West Bank's Fatah government, continued aid for Gaza, and initiating contacts with the b
loodthirsty maniacs of Hamas (who recently legalized crucifixion on their territory), the fact that Hamas and other radical Palestinian factions are wholly dedicated to Israel's destruction and Islamic global domination appears to be just some small, irrelevant detail. Perhaps they should listen (for once) to Hamas' openly proclaimed intentions, or read their charter, rather than continuing to project idealized wishful thinking upon them... it's not like they're hiding anything.

It indeed seems ridiculous to pressure Israel for a two-state solution now, when recent experience suggests that Hamas will promptly install rocket launchers on any territory Israel concedes... using it not as a basis for peace, but as a platform from which to kill Jews. Until Hamas is de-fanged and taken from power, there is no hope of the Israelis exposing their jugular to a Palestinian state that still wishes to destroy them... why should they?

Blame has also, of course, been heaped upon the Bush Administration for "failure" to make progress with the Israeli-Palestinian situation. Although they felt an obligation to make an effort, it is likely Bush's team never really believed in the near-term practicality of the two state solution laid out in the "Road Map". However, the President held a summit in Annapolis in November 2007 attended by Israeli, Palestinian and other Arab leaders, which provided the stage for a public commitment to peace in one year. While Carter and Clinton had made progress towards Middle East peace a centerpiece of their policy, the agreements reached required compromises from the Israelis that didn't look wise in hindsight, and were not rewarded in good-faith by the Palestinians, either.

After the initial waves of IDF attacks on Saturday, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh vowed revenge, including suicide bombings in Israel's "cafes and streets." This is basically a promise to sacrifice more Palestinian youth to affect a "revenge" upon Israeli civilians on some Tel Aviv bus- all in the ceaseless pursuit of an unattainable goal. Disregarding for a moment this man's warped judgement, isn't a definition of insanity repeating the same actions, while expecting a different result? Remember that the stated goals of Hamas are "fighting to the death" for are the elimination of Israel, and establishment of a world Islamic empire... nothing less.

Hamas "will continue the resistance until the last drop of blood," vowed spokesman Fawzi Barhoum. Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida added that the group will "teach the enemy a lesson they will never forget". Maybe, but the only lesson here for Israel is that the IDF should have been allowed to crush Hamas a long, long time ago.

Perhaps it would be helpful if Palestinian voters were finally held to account for their decisions, and shown the consequences of electing and supporting a radical, delusional, and confrontational Hamas government. Rocket salvos fired daily into Israeli towns were to come without a price? Such ingratitude and contempt in the wake of the Gaza handover has only has strengthened those in Israel such as Benjamin Netanyahu, who has always opposed ineffective and dangerous compromise with the Jewish state's sworn enemies... and who's Likud party is now leading in the polls.

And maybe we should ask: where is the Palestinian ingenuity, unity, and long-term vision of the type that made Israel such a successful and bountiful nation... from a strip of desert? How about something new from the Palestinian side... like a realistic self-awareness, instead of repeatedly overplaying a weak hand, making insatiable demands, and surrendering themselves to a band of gangsters? Does the Palestinian electorate value any attributes in their "leadership" other than stubbornness, vengeance, and a comprehensive lack of scruples?

While Hamas uses their own populace as cannon-fodder, the self-destructive instragence and the ceaseless missile attacks on southern Israel from Gaza have now brought a harsh retribution upon them and their people. Is there anyone in Gaza able to lead in a pragmatic, constructive manner... instead of continuing down a dead-end road with the apocalyptic lunatics of Hamas?

In the Gaza Strip, where suicide-bombers are celebrated like sports heroes, every last resource is utilized in the fight against the Jews, including the lives and minds of their own children... a plentiful asset where the average family has 7-8. No greater crime can be committed than the poisoning of a country’s future by instilling such a burden of hatred on the shoulders of its youth... and deeply damages the entire society for a generation, at least.

The repulsive child-abuse of Hamas' Al-Aqsa TV beaming shows like "Tomorrow’s Pioneers", featuring a faux-Mickey Mouse and a funny-bunny vowing to "kill the Jews and eat them" has taken the Palestinians' brainwashing of their children to a new low. This programming of the next generation of avengers only serves to worsen the ungovernable mess that is Palestine. The colorful shows have enacted for a 3-7 yr old audience the assassination of George W Bush, the killing of Danes in revenge for the Muhammad cartoons, and other fun-loving episodes.

If and when a two-state solution is reached, just how do Palestinian authorities plan re-program these youths to go to work, pay taxes, practice the art of compromise, and live in peace with their Jewish or Christian neighbors and/or employers? This totalist indoctrination goes a long way towards explaining the psychotic behavior of Palestinian society as a whole... and why those with a pollyanna view in the west will continue to be disappointed by the hopeless situation in Gaza and the West Bank.

Perhaps if the moderate, PLO-Fatah faction could again exert it's control over Gaza, and create an effective level of security that would halt the launching of rockets from Palestinian territory, the Israelis could have hope of striking a deal to bring both sides peace. But since the Palestinians voted Hamas into power when they knew this radical organization is based primarily upon the destruction of Israel, why would anyone on either side expect peace? In fact, Hamas needs Israel as a permanent enemy, as any peace deal eliminates Hamas' reason for existence, takes-away their substantial black-market profits, and it's not what Ahmadinejad is paying them for, either.

So after electing Hamas, and showing little ability to govern themselves successfully after a brief civil war with Fatah and the resulting two rival governments, why would anyone expect that the Palestinians can form a viable state that can be depended upon to honor treaties with Israel?

The Jerusalem Post's Caroline Glick wrote recently that the international community expects that Obama “will move quickly to place massive pressure on the next Israeli government to withdraw" from the West Bank and Golan Heights in the interests of advancing a peace process with the Palestinians/Syrians. She states that “people who have been in close contact with Obama’s foreign policy transition team have privately acknowledged...Obama will move swiftly to put the screws on Israel. Her sources also informed her that the Obama transition team is "scope-locked"’ on Israel.

While the Israeli and even the American Jewish left might share many of Obama's views, they face mass rejection at the Israeli polls in February, when pugnacious, rightist, nationalist Benjamin Netanyahu is favored to be the new Israeli PM. And even if not, the current Olmert/Livni/Barak government has recently made a big swing to the right on defense issues, with the current "all-out" war on Hamas.
There seems to be precious little common ground between the theory-based Obama team and the Israelis, who live on the front-line.

Although they are oh-so-very tired of managing and fighting Palestinians for 40+ yrs, and their voters have often shown a desire for any kind of sensible peace, what other real option exists for Israeli leaders at this point, other than an open-ended occupation and military control of Palestinian territories?

The unrealistic policies of Hamas, the disappointing results of the 2005 Gaza withdrawal, and the pitiful performance of aid-addicted Palestinian society in general offer no reason whatsoever for Israel to expect peace from a two state solution. And while even the "moderate" Fatah has trouble controlling their fringe factions, a possible, even likely, Hamas takeover of a new Palestinian state is a risk no sensible Israeli government can accept.

If there ever was a people in-need of a benign dictator, the damaged and confused Palestinians just might be the ones... that is, if they are ever to display the type of behaviour and responsibility that would make them a viable partner for peace.

As for the leadership in Iran, the message is not the drawing of a line in the sand, as that line has long-ago been crossed by Tehran's head-long charge towards obtaining nuclear weapons. It is that they've already gone way too far in their showboating pursuit of The Bomb... and without an abrupt retreat from this brinkmanship, they now face a crushing military blow from the IDF.

Israel is making it clear to all that her security is not negotiable, nor subject to the whims of weak, vacillating "allies" in the west. Enemies of Israel should note that misguided policy and signals of appeasement coming from the incoming Obama administration, such as that the US will "provide a nuclear umbrella" for Israel (code for acquiescence to Iranian attainment of nuclear weaponry), will hold talks "without preconditions" with Tehran's apocolyptic leadership, and will encourage the return of lands in the West Bank to Palestinians without requisite acts of responsibility... will have no effect on Israel's ability to recognize an existential threat, nor to act upon it militarily.... and they will not sit back and take huge risks while engaging in wishful thinking of the type Mr Obama indulges himself in.

It appears that Israel alone will have to do the dirty work of eliminating Iranian nuclear development, Syrian instragence, and growing terrorist threats from Hezbollah and Hamas, all while enduring much of the world's condemnation. However, they are used to such ingratitude and lack of moral and strategic clarity from others, so will once again soldier-on alone. It was the Israelis themselves that eliminated Sadaam's nuclear weapons program with the brave 1983 air-attack on the Osirak reactor site, and if it had not been destroyed, Iraq would likely have had a nuclear weapon before invading Kuwait in 1990. Such a weapon would have prevented the U.S. from fighting against Iraq in 1991, and Kuwait would have remained an Iraqi province to this day... with Sadaam in control of a large portion of the world's oil supply. Iraq had fired deadly Scud missiles at Israel during the 1991 war - but they were a pitiful substitute for the nuclear weapons Sadaam would surely have liked to use instead.

The Israelis had eliminated that Iraqi threat in the interest of their own survival, but did us all a great favor in the process. That attack, which completely destroyed the French-built Osirak reactor, was condemned at the time by most of the world community, including the United States and the UN Security Council. The US even suspended the sale of F-16s to Israel in response to the attack, but quietly canceled the suspension less than three months later. In 1991, just a week after the U.S. invaded Iraq in Operation Desert Storm, a photograph was handed to the man who served in 1981 as head of Israel's Air Force, David Ivry, that showed the bombed reactor, and included a hand-written note on the bottom: "With thanks and appreciation. You made our job easier in Desert Storm." It was signed "(Secretary of Defense) Dick Cheney".

If Likud's Bibi Netanyahu wins the February election, he will clearly not allow Iranian nuclear weapons to be developed and deployed, nor will he concede any more territory in the name of the "peace process". Sadly, indicators point to Obama's policy pushing Israel in precisely the opposite direction. But Israel can afford to ignore the tyro strategist Obama... and probably has the military capability already to not only bomb Iran, but win the wider Middle East war that is likely to result.

While Obama thinks he can afford to take a pollyanna view, the Israelis are the target of an extermination plan, and simply cannot. They are the ones the inept, oppressive governments of Syria and Iran are trying to focus their frustrated populations upon, rather than the daily hell of life in their own countries. This war will begin with a pre-emptive attack in a very similar vein to 1967... but now to neutralize a future nuclear obliteration from Tehran, who's Holocaust-denying President Ahmadinejad has called for the Jewish state to be "wiped off the map". Once attacked, the orders will go-out from Tehran to Hezbollah and Hamas, in concert will ally Syria, to declare war upon Israel.

The resulting actions of the IDF will be fought very differently than the tentative, cautious efforts in Lebanon in 2006. Expect a throrough, overwhelming, and devastating elimination of these threats. It appears that when let-loose, the Israeli Defence Forces indeed have the capability to defeat all these enemies simultaneously... as they've repeatedly done in the past.

And the message to the misguided and naive American President-elect and his lieutenant Hillary? If you think Israel is going to wait for your approval, attempt to appease enemies who are sworn to destroy it, or just sit back and hope for the best, think again. Instead, we will fight to win, with or without you, and let history be the judge... it's our nation's existence and families' lives on the line, not yours.

They love men but they just don't want to see them naked!

I've always been interested in having a Lesbian friend and getting closer to the whole lesbian scene of Egypt, so 4-5 years ago I'd created a profile on gaydargirls.com searching for a gay gal who wants to befriend with a gay guy, contacted the potentially interesting profiles among the very limited available profiles(either active or inactive) on the website which made me notice for beginnings that they don't have as much choices as we gay guys do, anyway I received a reply from 2 girls "Rachel" who became one of my best friends and another girl who is history now(I don't even remember her name).

Rachel is in her mid-twenties, Aries, cabin crew, very attractive, black hair & eyes and with sexy physique! We kept chatting for long time before we meet, she fulfilled my curiosity, I fulfilled hers then we started to get to know each others more, chitchatting about our previous relationship(s) and everything about life until one day we had met and became close friends though her interrupting work trips.
Rachel let me have a closer look over the scene, how limited their choices are! How many of them are way mean than any flamboyant queen of my world! How sex to them is so different and more meaningful! How their families can easily screw up any relation even though they donno about their loveable daughter's orientation, as most of females in our society have less space of freedom and their parents(usually the mother) should know every tiny details in their life, their friends...etc
She also taught me that many women can't say the word "Lesbian" even when their mouth is full of one! and that women who love women are lesbians. Men, because they can only think of women in sexual terms, define lesbian as sex between women!

Rachel suffered(and still suffering) a lot from one of her ex girlfriends, let me call her "Sayyeda", so Sayyeda is a mean bitch who never failed to screw up Rachel's life till now via many ways, being friend with Rachel's new friends and turning them on her, mysteriously contacting Rachel's new girlfriends and stealing them from her by acting the innocent victim and the cool liberal sexy chick in the same time!
Sayyeda so far stole "Dahya" the teenager who looks like Olive Oil of Popeye, "Mohga" the filthy International Squach coach, "ShaZZa" who is getting engaged soon and now Sayyeda is dating "Khamees", Rachel's latest ex who had been in a lot of family troubles, ran away from her home, stayed with her lover that Brazilian band vocalist who worships her, her family knew his place, her brothers beated the hell out of him, she got back home and all of a sudden her life is pinkish again and living happily ever after in Sayyeda's cunt!
I almost cried when Rachel showed me the Bvlgari rings and Nokia TV mobile phone which she wanted to give them to Khamees during the "hard" time away from her family, the weird thing is that almost the same dilemma happens with every girl Rachel dates after she falls for them, the family problems bla bla bla they disappear for a short period of time and then appear again but between Sayyeda's toxic arms!
They made my poor Rachel believe that she is cursed and curses everyone try to approach her, and not to mention how that affects her, her perception of her body image, her self-esteem...etc
NO my dear Rachel, you are perfectly healthy, fabulous, great looking and with BRAINS but it's not easy to find happiness in ourselves and it is not possible to find it elsewhere! I always advised you to stop giving Sayyeda chances and to get her utterly out of your system but in vain!

Anyway, that wise person who said that women are complicated, must either had many lesbian friends or studied gynaecology!

Biden Running Interference for the Great Socialist Roll-Out of 2009

Some have recently taken solace and a sense of relief in the seemingly-moderate appointments Barack Obama has made to his cabinet, such as Robert Gates and Hillary Clinton... especially after hearing rhetoric like "we're going to spread the wealth around" from him during the presidential campaign.

Some others though, such as syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer, see it differently. In his recent column, "The Real Obama", he states: "...Obama's own beliefs remain largely opaque, his appointments have led to the conclusion that he intends to govern from the center." Of the sensible appointments in his senior economic team, Krauthammer says "their principal task is to stabilize the financial system, a highly pragmatic task in which Obama has no particular ideological stake.... As in foreign policy, Obama wants experts and veterans to manage and pacify universes in which he has little experience and less personal commitment. Their job is to keep credit flowing and the world at bay so that Obama can address his real ambition: to effect a domestic transformation as grand and ambitious as Franklin Roosevelt's."

He goes-on to say that "deepening recession creates the opportunity for federal intervention and government experimentation on a scale unseen since The New Deal."

Additionally, "Henry Paulson's invention of the number $700 billion forever altered our perception of imaginable government expenditure. Twenty billion more for Citigroup? Lunch money.... And public opinion, demanding action, will buy any stimulus package of any size. The result: undreamed-of amounts of money at Obama's disposal.

Obama was quite serious when he said he was going to change the world. And now he has a national crisis, a personal mandate, a pliant Congress, a desperate public -- and, at his disposal, the greatest pot of money in galactic history
."

Krauthammer finishes "Don't be fooled by Bob Gates staying on. Obama didn't get elected to manage Afghanistan. He intends to transform America. And he has the money, the mandate and the moxie to go for it. "

When Joe Biden was quoted as saying on Friday that the US economy is in danger of "really tanking", the first thought one has is "hasn't it ever occurred to this oaf that morale and confidence are vital for our markets and military?" Statements like "Obama's going to be tested" by our enemies, and that the economy might "tank" accomplishes what, exactly? This is the equivalent of a coach telling his team "We're probably going to get killed out there today."

He's no Nute Rockne, this Biden. But Obama has treated him like a crazy-aunt-in-the-attic for some time now, not allowing Joe out in public without being chained to a TelePrompter. Therefore, one must consider that this alarmist remark has an intentional purpose... in-concert with more benign, yet similar statements made by the President-elect himself recently.

As reckless as it appears? From famously-disciplined Team Obama, probably not- and the purpose of Biden's comment is to lower expectations and buy time, heap more blame for the economic crisis on the GOP, but most importantly, re-enforce a sense of need in the public to prepare them for the Great Socialist Roll-Out... spending $1 trillion in various big-government programs. In this way, Biden's legendary lack of constraint is useful... as if sensible minds object to such irresponsible fear-mongering, Obama's apologists can dismiss it as "oh, that's just ol' Joe- you know how he is".

Biden and Obama are now using the canned lines "everyone I've talked to" and "every major economist says" that we need a huge spending program for "economic stimulus". Who exactly are they talking to? Any factual support? This doesn't even vaguely resemble a valid argument... and apparently they don't speak with adherents of Milton Freidman or Art Laffer. Shouldn't the public and US Congress ask to first see at least one historical precedent where this big-spending has worked, before we jump into this $1 trillion pit?

Obama's misguided plans go against all proven formulae, largely ignoring the true engines of our economy (entrepreneurs and small business) in-favor of a huge, inefficient, and corrupt Federal spending spree... just like the policies that lengthened The Depression by 7+ yrs.

The massive outlays of The New Deal that Obama so proudly emulates were, in-fact, a colossal economic failure. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt never achieved an unemployment level under 14%... and averaged 17% over his presidency.

Some conservatives have taken to noting that history has proven The New Deal a mistake. But there was never any need to wait for historical evidence... as FDR's own Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau stated in 1939:

"We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. . . . We have never made good on our promises. . . . I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started. . . . And an enormous debt to boot!"

This is all in stark contrast to the proven Reagan Recovery of the 1980s, which brought us back from almost 11% unemployment (50% worse than today), plus double-digit inflation and interest rates that were inherited from the incompetent Carter Administration. Ronald Reagan accomplished this with an adherence to the Chicago School philosophy- with spending cuts, tax cuts, in addition to deregulation and incentives for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

In his two terms, Reagan created over 20M jobs...growing the country's GDP by almost 30% in the process. Those kind of results makes one wonder why Obama's trillion-dollar spending plan would impress anybody, even with his recent increase from the previously pledged 2.5M new and "saved" jobs (whatever those are) to the new goal of +3M... a paltry figure 17M jobs shy of Reagan's towering accomplishment.

And Obama's proposal is not a spend-money program, because we don't have it.... it's a print-money program, with all the associated evils. What happened to the lessons of the last 20 yrs regarding keeping a lid on inflation as a priority?

With today's 7% unemployment, low inflation, and interest rates approximating zero, but an already massive Federal deficit... we need to spend another trillion dollars? Why? All we are being told is that a "big mess" has been created, and that "something has to be done" to avert an even greater catastrophe. Assuming all that is true, shouldn't Americans demand something that has been proven to work, instead of the discredited approach of throwing money at the problem?

Why not a tax cut, instead... and let American businesses create the jobs they've repeatedly demonstrated the ability to produce? Somehow, the irony is lost on Obama that unemployed Silicon Valley engineers should be delighted to get to pour cement for "patriotic" construction projects... instead of reviving businesses through lower taxes that would leverage their skills a little more effectively.

To quote Reagan:

"Entrepreneurs and small businesses are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States."

What a shame then, that Obama is on the verge of implementing an economic "stimulus" package that is actually little more than the mother-of-all-pork-barrel-spending... going against every element of Reagan's proven approach. Obama hasn't the slightest clue how a entrepreneurial market economy functions... and he doesn't want to, because he detests it. He is not even attempting to pursue the best, proven methods to economic recovery, either. For him the crisis is a huge opportunity, seen in purely philosophical terms... and it is the philosophy of a man with the most left-wing voting record in the US Senate. Obama is using this once-in-a-lifetime chance to socialize the country and send money to nefarious supporters, while printing money to cover it all, and crashing the dollar. Then he'll blame it all on Bush, and crank-up the taxes to eye-watering Swedish levels to dig out of the hole.

And who will suffer the brunt of these destructive tax increases? On the rare occasion someone in the press corps actually asks Obama how all this is going to be paid for, he answers as vaguely as possible, as is his m.o. .... while gesturing towards the standard socialist class enemies of "the rich" (who he earlier said where "selfish" and unpatriotic if they didn't support paying more taxes) and "big business", who are more easily painted as villains in the midst of our economic crisis.

It should come as no surprise that Reagan had quite a different take on taxing the job-creating "rich" and America's businesses, both large and small:

"The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus relieving the individual. Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us.

Business doesn't pay taxes... Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business... If the tax cannot be included in the price of the product, no one along that line can stay in business."

And the Blagojevich case certainly focuses the mind on Obama's promised big government programs- which have always been likely to encourage corruption. His plans to flood state and local governments with cash will surely empower corrupt politicians, political donors, organized crime, and union bosses. These projects are to be approached with additional caution after what was heard in Blagojevich's words on the FBI tapes- demanding $1M in campaign "donations" from an unnamed cement company who won the contract for the "green lanes" and other improvements to the Illinois Turnpike. This incident clearly demonstrates the skill with which Democrats wrap spending that financially benefits their political supporters in an aura of social/environmental responsibility and entitlement... as both Obama and Blago have been doing for years.

We should also examine carefully Obama's own previous, similar programs in Illinois- where he helped provide subsidies for (convicted felon and Obama fundraiser) Tony Rezko to build and maintain "affordable housing" in Obama’s district. In the event, much of the resulting housing was scandalous, uninhabitable due to substandard work. People froze in the winter, plumbing leaks, and a 3 year old boy was crushed to death last summer by shoddy construction. While Rezko couldn't find the money to get the heat on, he was still making regular political contributions to Obama, though... and getting wealthy in the process.

Now, nationwide, the hogs are lining-up, drooling, at the trough. Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R) wrote a recent column for TheHill.com which highlights some disturbing information about Obama's economic stimulus plan. The plans have special interest groups in a state of euphoria, like they hit the Lotto.

Rep. Bachman, like many conservatives, worries where the money will go: "You’ve got to wonder if the infrastructure investments that Obama is going to include in his package might come from the list of 11,391 projects that the U.S. Conference of Mayors recently submitted to Congress. The list includes things like a $4.8 million polar bear exhibit at the Providence, RI zoo and a $1.5 million water ride in Miami, FL."

And according to a recent CNN article, other abuses of taxpayer dollars found within the report include: “a proposed $20 million minor league baseball museum in Durham, NC; $6.1 million for corporate jet hangars at the Fayetteville, AS, airport; $20 million for renovations at the Philadelphia Zoo; and a $1.5 million program to reduce prostitution in Dayton, OH.” According the CNN story, the 800-plus page Mayor's document is titled "Main Street Economic Recovery: 'Ready To Go' Jobs and Infrastructure Projects." The requests represent what these mayors and Obama perceive as stimulating the economy and growing jobs through infrastructure rebuilding and maintenance.

This graft-embedded socialist fantasy of Obama's needs to be stopped dead in its tracks... it's as simple as that. We are now saddled with a disingenuous and misguided President-elect that seems bound and determined to lead this country over the abyss, wrecking the structure of our economy in a permanent fashion.

It's about time Americans and the US Congress start asking some real hard questions about Obama's reckless planned spending spree... which is wasteful, inefficient, and nothing less than an assault upon the framework of America's entrepreneurial, free-market capitalist system.

Dating? Me dating?! [Part I]

Sunday, last feast's eve, having lunch in Sequoia with my Iranian date "Mehrzad", enjoying the nice weather, the good wine and the fabulous company who is 29 years old(I rarely remember people's age), very sexy, very successful person, has been living in London almost all his life, owns a football team, just launched a fashion magazine as he already works in fashion field, properties investor....
bottom line; he's a bright businessman!
He loved the place and Egypt in general, I felt so comfortable around him, he unintentionally fulfilled everything I'd needed back then-and still need them thu-, someone I could talk to without having any agenda on both sides(mine or his), someone who appreciates things that I do appreciate too even the most trivial and odd ones, simply someone who just wants to enjoy the moment wihtout thinking about any consequences or anything!

After lunch, I took him for a shopping tour in Beymen store, he liked it but we both hated the displayed items, old collections, ugly so simple designs and of course overrated prices, he told me that it's cheaper for me to let him buy stuff for me from London as he already buys the samples after the runway of any new designer's collection so that I'd be wearing the newest fashion, cheaper and 6 months earlier than anyone else lol! So I ended up not buying anything and went back home to get some sleep before meeting "Mimi" my Moroccan best friend who arrived from Dubai for few days in Egypt.
I slept for like 2 hours then called Mimi to see what she's up to, she told me that she'll be meeting her date now in some café in Heliopolis but definitely we've to meet up in the hotel after she finishes her date, I told her that's perfect as I'll have enough time to get into Mehrzad's bed!

10:30pm, he was inside me, the chemistry on bed was mind blowing, he possessed many things that turn me on, big cock with big balls, hairy chest, facial hair, very sexy armpits and in addition to the manlish attitude, so Yes! It was the best sex I had had since long time! Which lead me to cuddle him for long time after sex though I rarely do that with guys who are not that emotionally close to me and he again unintentionally said everything I wanted to hear between his arms, praising my looks, surprised that I'm not modelling yet thought I've what it's got to be a model, also said that I'm not aware of what I'm capable of or what I value..etc
I got dressed and he kept telling me that he really wants to date me, we can work it out, he can come to Cairo whenever I want, we would travel together but he said that he doesn't want to rush things up as he doesn't want to be pushy and freak the hell out of me, so I stamped a good-bye kiss on his edible lips hoping that he could make it back to Cairo by mid-year vacation(5th of January) and if that happened, I'll get to know him better and who knows?
Too much action for meeting a Pices or Iranian guy for the first time, no?

To be continued...

Review of Quantum of Solace

The architecture of that hotel was perfect for long, drawn-out explosion scenes. I'm happy there was less testicular mutilation scenes in this film than in the last Bond. Don't get me wrong, I'd still like to stay at that hotel. I dig the eco-industrial design aesthetic.

Rezko is Singing...What is He Saying About Barack Obama?

Along with all the other bad news for Team Obama coming out of the arrest and indictment of Illinois Governor "Hot" Rod Blagojevich last week was a footnote divulging that the infamous Chicago slumlord, fast-food restauranteur, and political operator Antoin "Tony" Rezko is now working with Federal prosecutors. His offer to provide evidence of others' wrongdoing is "not complete," and prosecutors are working to corroborate the claims he has made so far.

The Syrian-born Rezko, Barack Obama's longtime ally, friend, and fundraiser, was found guilty in 16 of 24 counts of influence peddling back in June. The jury convicted him of wire and mail fraud, money laundering and aiding and abetting bribery... he was acquitted of attempted extortion. In all, prosecutors said, Rezko squeezed various companies for some $7 million in kickbacks. In the dramatic trial, former state official Ali Ata told jurors he bought his post with bribes to Rezko, and campaign contributions to Blagojevich. Ata was also one of several witnesses who said Rezko talked of a plot to kill the criminal probe against him by pulling strings with the White House to get U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald fired. Interestingly, Fitzgerald was the lead prosecutor in the Valerie Plume/Scooter Libby leak case, as well as in last week's Blagojevich indictment.

So after conficting indicators, Rezko has clearly cooperated with prosecutors in an effort to reduce his otherwise lengthy stay in the Gray-Bar Hotel, to be quantified at his sentencing hearing in January.Obama was not named in the court documents, but according to the Chicago Sun-Times, a source familiar with the case confirmed that Obama is the unnamed “political candidate” referred to in the filing. This charge had accused Rezko of orchestrating a scheme in which a firm hired to handle state teacher pension investments had to pay $250,000 in sham "finder’s fees". From that money, $10,000 was donated to Obama’s successful run for the Senate in the name of a Rezko business associate, as a "straw" donor, according to the court filings.

The news of Rezko's cooperation with prosecutors is anything but good for the new administration-in-waiting. The relationship between Rezko and Obama goes back over 18 years, and is as labrylinthine as it is problematic. Of course, as is his practice, Obama has moved to distance himself since his longtime friend and supporter was first indicted in October 2006.Tony Rezko had given and raised in excess of $250,000 in contributions for Barack Obama's campaigns over the years, a number triple the amount Obama had publicly acknowleged prior to the trial. Rezko was also involved in numerous opaque transactions and arrangements involving the Democrats' rapidly-rising-star. He was nothing less than a political godfather to both Rod Blagojevich and Obama, facilitating their ascensions in Illinois politics.

Rezko was also appointed by Obama to serve on his U.S. Senate campaign finance committee, where he raised more than $14 million, according to Federal Election Commission records, helping send Obama to Washington in 2004.And Barack Obama was a primary force in getting city and state money approved for Rezko to build and maintain "affordable housing" in Obama’s district... similar to the programs he's now planning on a massive scale for the entire country, as US President. Scandalously, many of Rezko's projects in Chicago are infamous for being uninhabitible, due to substandard work and a negligent maintainance. People freeze in the winter, plumbing leaks, and a 3 year old boy was even crushed to death by shoddy construction. For more than five weeks during the brutal winter of 1997, tenants shivered without heat in one of these government-subsidized apartment buildings on Chicago's South Side. It was just four years after the landlords... Rezko and his partner Daniel Mahru... had rehabbed the 31-unit building in Englewood with a loan from Chicago taxpayers. While Rezko and Mahru couldn't seem to find money to get the heat back on, their company, Rezmar Corp. , continued to receive city and state funding... even as earlier projects fell into disrepair and financial troubles. The company also somehow managed to come-up-with continuing donations for the political campaign fund of Barack Obama, the newly elected state senator... whose district included the unheated building.

In fact, eleven of Rezko's buildings were in Obama's state Senate district. In this diminutive area, where anyone could walk around and in one day get a basic knowlege of all major residential zones, Obama later stated that he was "unaware" of the conditions at slumlord Rezko's projects... the very ones he had worked enthusiastically to fund with government subsidies.

Also deeply involved with Rezko was Valerie Jarrett, one of Obama’s closest friends, who was named on the FBI's Blagojevich tapes as "candidate #1". Jarret was Obama's apparent initial choice to fill his Senate seat, and is now slated to be his Senior White House Advisor. Judicial Watch, a public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, linked Jarrett to a series of real estate scandals, including projects operated by Rezko and Allison Davis, a former boss of Obama's. Housing projects developed and/or operated by Davis and Rezko have been manifestly substandard and beset with code violations. As CEO of The Habitat Company, Jarrett also managed a controversial housing project located in Obama’s district called Grove Parc Plaza, which according to the Boston Globe was considered “uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage.

In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale -- a score so bad the buildings now face demolition. After news reports revealed that Obama had personally engaged in a real estate transaction in 2005 with Tony Rezko’s wife Rita (at a time when Rezko was known to be under investigation), the young senator speciously dismissed the episode as “boneheaded” and “a mistake.”

Initially, the owner of the mansion would not sell it to Obama because he didn't have enough money to buy both the house, and the large lot next to it- and the seller insisted both had to be sold together. So, Obama bought the house, and Rezko the lot next door. Intriguingly, the house was sold $300k under the asking-price... while Mrs Rezko paid full price for the empty lot. Then the Rezkos simply sold Obama a 10 ft strip of their new property, making his remaining portion of this lot unbuildable. “There’s no doubt I should have seen some red flags in terms of me purchasing a piece of property from him,” Obama had said- once the press uncovered the deal. In the event, Obama in got a mansion worth twice what he paid for it, as in reality the otherwise unusuable neighboring parcel also became the Obama’s private property.

And the real estate agent? None other than Patti Blagojevich- Rod's wife. Powerful Chicago Alderman Richard Mell's daughter Patricia Blagojevich was, in-fact, a partner and real-estate agent for many of Rezko’s transactions that appear to be pay-for-play vehicles in Chicagoland political deals.... where she had made over $700,000 in commisions. Actually, one of the primary causes of Blago's desperation for money -as heard on the FBI's tapes- was the loss of family income from his wife's lucrative real-estate deals with Rezko... which evaporated once he was in Federal custody. In the case of Rod Blagojevich, Team Obama is, of course, mortified that he isn't going away quietly. The President-elect is now noticably nervous in press conferences, the previous swagger is gone. Obama claims to have "never spoken" to Blago regarding the Senate seat, never-mind that three press items and his own campaign manager previously contradicted this.
It seems likely that, at minimum, Rahm Emanuel or one of his people did speak on FBI tapes to the Governor... and so far, Obama has not attempted to deny that he talks to his own Chief-of-Staff.

Facing a daunting criminal indictment, Blago might too start cooperating with Fitzpatrick. That he would reveal incriminating details regarding Obama's political manuevers is not altogether unlikely, as it is doubtful there is any residual loyalty there... Obama has comprehensively abandonded this former political ally. Chicago Mayor Daley, Rahm Emanuel, Obama, Emil Jones, et. al. all have to be concerned about Blago cooperating with the Feds... and conversely, Blagojevich now has reason to be concerned about getting whacked. But the larger concern for Obama should be the possibility of Tony Rezko providing damning testimony of their shenanigans over the last two decades. While it's far from certain how much evidence he is willing to provide, Rezko almost certainly knows enough to bring Obamania crashing down in a pile of rubble. It mostly depends on Fitzgerald's aims, if he is targeting Obama at all... or just listening to what Rezko wants to spill, and taking that where that leads him.

Obama's version of events is certain to vary from Rezko's, as the he has a formula of not only distancing himself from friends and collaborators who find themselves in trouble- but condemning them in the media, and then treating them like lepers... along with a healthy dose of historical revisionism. After bus-chucking Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Pfleger, Khalidi, and now Blagojevich... one has to wonder how long before such disloyalty is repaid by one or more of these jilted allies... especially those facing long prison terms.

The wire and mail fraud counts Tony Rezko was convicted of can bring 5 years each, and without some serious collaboration with prosecutors, it’s probable that Rezko will get a sentence that will keep him in prison for life. If Rezko wants to avoid dying in prison, he’ll have to keep cutting deals... until Fitzgerald is satisfied. While the connections to Obama presented in the trial were minor, that doesn't mean there's not a lot more to bring-to-light.The primary target for prosecutors in Rezko's cooperation was obviously Blagojevich, who was tied to a specific bribe during the trial. However, if Rezko knows where bodies are buried with Obama, this ceases to be an indirect problem and starts to develop as a potential political catastrophe for the President-elect.

One thing that might save Obama from all this would be if Rezko gambles that Obama would pardon him in 2012, when voters show the door to the by-then-debunked messiah.Of course, no other candidate could have gotten through a presidential campaign without all this coming up for more serious analysis... except Barack, of Obamamania fame. When you consider Rezko's trial was concurrent with the primaries, it is pretty hard to fathom.

Obama has long denied that he ever did any political favors for Tony Rezko. And following his conviction in June, Rezko complained in a letter to the judge that federal authorities tried to pressure him “to tell the wrong things” about the Obama and Blagojevich. But later, The Sun-Times reported that prosecutors pushed Rezko to cooperate in the corruption probe against Blagojevich... he then promptly reversed his previous stance, and the climactic results of which have now become public.

Those of us who have waited-and-waited for the media to get off their collective duff and perform their duty to properly vet candidates have long given up hope that they'd hang-up their pom-poms and get to work. They were always more interested in discrediting or explaining-away red flags regarding The One's past than any effective form of scrutiny.

Instead, they preferred to write stories about his puppies, how he likes to play basketball and listen to Ludacris, his cool neckties, etc. To them, the smoke eminating from Illinois politics is just another "distraction"... and our intentions are suspect if we ask to know the details. The MSM somehow don't feel the need to be concerned with Obama’s upbringing in the cauldron of Chicago Machine politics, and how such a nobody rose to State senator, US senator, and President-elect in just a few years with no tangible achievements... while assumed to be pure as the driven snow.

The left-leaning media seems to have painted themselves into-a-corner by betting it all on Obama as the anti-Bush, and are now in far too deep, unable to afford a balanced analysis without losing what scrap of credibility they have left.Tony Rezko or Rod Blagojevich, however, might be just a bit more motivated to bring focus to the myriad dubious events in Obama's past. How really, truly sad it is that we now have to look to men like these two scoundrels to bring much of the country to it's senses... when the clues were there all-along, for anyone who cared to have more than a purfunctory glance.

Dry spell!

A lot of things happened recently in the last semi-vacation, things that I should write about and record them on the blog to re-read and remember them sometime in the future, but the thing is that I don't feel like writing since sometime, donno if I lost my talent or if it was a temporary acquired talent!
I guess it's just a writing dry spell! Hoping I'd write back again soon even thru the mobile like I just did =)

The Illinois Institute of Kleptocracy

That's where Barry and Blago learned all the moves-

And the appalling corruption laid-out in these allegations against the unctuous Blagojevich and his chief of staff yesterday is no isolated incident. Rather, it's standard operating procedure in what might be the most politically nefarious state in the country... and where no politician gets anywhere without participating.

Barack Obama is of course a product of that corrupt system, and played by Chicago Machine rules... and this is the kind of operator the smugly-moralizing Democrats have put in the White House. The timing of yesterday's charges and arrests appeared related to concerns that a President Obama would replace all the federal prosecutors upon taking the Oval Office, as Bill Clinton had done in 1993... thereby burying the issue for the foreseeable future. The FBI also stated they wanted to put a stop to Blago's activities before he appointed Obama's successor for the remainder of his term in the US Senate.

The government alleged Mr. Blagojevich spoke of naming a Senate candidate favorable to Mr. Obama in exchange for receiving favors from a third party: a job at an organization affiliated with a labor union; a cabinet post or ambassadorship; cash or campaign funds; or perhaps a lucrative position for his wife on a corporate board.

Blagojevich was also considering appointing himself to the Senate to avoid impeachment, resuscitate his career and make contacts that he would find beneficial after leaving public office. If he didn't receive the desired payola, he planned to simply appoint himself to the vacancy. "I'm going to keep this Senate option for me a real possibility, you know, and therefore I can drive a hard bargain. You hear what I'm saying. And if I don't get what I want and I'm not satisfied with it, then I'll just take the Senate seat myself."

Barack Obama has promptly gone into his standard ethics-crisis default mode: deny a connection (even when clearly there is one); claim total ignorance of any shady dealings, and ally himself with the angry public ("I, too, am offended by...", and would have "done something if I'd known",). This formula has an unsettling tone of being well-rehearsed, always at-the-ready, and expected to be used, like a fire extinguisher... for someone who accepts such fires as an expected occurence in their line of business.

Obama is now claiming that he "never spoke" to Blagojevich regarding his replacement in the Senate. It's a month after the election, and not once... incredible. After he's known him so well for years? And after his senior adviser David Axelrod had said on Fox News that the President-elect had "not expressed a favorite" to replace himself, and his inclination was to avoid being a "kingmaker." Axelrod had said "I know he's talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them." Of course, now Axelrod is saying he "misspoke"... but this rings hollow.Chicago's TV Channel 7 had also reported the day after the election that Obama was indeed meeting with Blagojevich for precisely that purpose, as did the Illinois state government's own information news site.

The selection would obviously be effected by the timing of when Obama chose to relinquish the seat... so how could they have never discussed it, as claimed by Obama?David Axelrod had worked for Blagojevich in the past, but he then abruptly refused to work on his gubernatorial run.

Axelrod said in the New Yorker "Obviously he won, but I had concerns about it... I was concerned about some of the folks -- I was concerned about how the race was being approached." Are we also expected to believe that Axelrod and Obama have never discussed these concerns regarding Blagojevich over the entire last two years?

How many swarmy characters can Obama run from? Depends where the public's, and press' tipping-points are, but this won't help to delay any reckoning. The ultimate impact on Obama is far from certain... but this scandal is not going away anytime soon. At minimum, the President-elect has a substantial amount of explaining to do... and it's quite likely that there is more to come regarding communication between Blagojevich's staff and Obama's team.

Over the last year, Obama supporters, including the media, have not questioned his extensive, yet unconvincing efforts to distance himself from the way politics works in the Windy City... but why? It was astounding to many how these myriad issues were swept under the rug by the MSM in the election... a true dereliction of implied Constitutional duty to properly vet the candidates.
Obama sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years and says he "didn't know" about Wright's views. Obama worked with Bill Ayers on government-funded projects, but says he barely knows him. Obama and his fundraiser Tony Rezko bought adjacent real estate lots on the same day which ended up as a financial advantage to Obama, but Obama says he didn't know much about him (the real estate agent on the deal? -none other than Blago's wife, Patti).

Now the indictment of the Governor of Illinois for what the FBI has called a "corruption crime spree"... and again we have Obama feigning ignorance of what this man (who he had often collaborated with politically) was all about.

A young politician makes an unprecedented, rapid rise from state senator to US President in less than five years... while Chicago Machine/Illinois politics have a reputation for institutionalized corruption... and he has dealt with and/or received the support of almost every shady operator in the state, at least two now indicted... ran in elections unopposed, due to the elimination of rivals by dubious legal maneuvers... then raised an inexplicable $700M in his run for President... but nobody in the media has asked any questions with any perseverance?

Maybe they'll even take a more serious look at Rezko now... Blagojevich's (convicted) bagman, and a long-time Obama fundraiser and ally (until he was indicted, or course- see the pattern?).

It does appear from what we've heard of the FBI's investigation that Obama was at-least initially reluctant to play Blago's game. What the Governor said he wanted was for Obama "to put something together…something big" in exchange for going along with Obama's choice to fill his vacant U.S. Senate seat.

Obama apparently instead insisted that his personal friend Valerie Jarrett, an incoming senior White House adviser, take his seat on recommendation. With Obama's current position, ego, and cold political calculation, this could be dismissed as an initial negotiating position. And why wasn't Blago reported to the FBI at that point? Where was the outrage from Obama's camp that would have indicated that this sort of demand was untypical of the Illinois politics that Obama arose from... and prospered so well within?

U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said prosecutors were making no allegations that Obama was aware of any scheming. And Blagojevich himself, in taped conversations cited by prosecutors, suggested that Obama wouldn't be helpful to him. He said, "they're not willing to give me anything except appreciation." But there remain questions about how Blagojevich knew that Mr. Obama was not willing to give him anything in exchange for the Senate seat -- with whom was Blagojevich speaking? Why didn't that person report the governor to the proper authorities?

In an indication that Obama has indeed paid-to-play in Illinois politics, or was at least familiar with such arrangements, Blagojevich was told on the FBI tapes by his advisers that Obama had to "suck it up" for two years... indicating a diversion from previous practice. At this point, Blago let loose with a now-well-publicized obscene outburst that would have made Scarface blush. It doesn't seem like "no" was an answer he expected, to say the least.

We are also given reason to suspect that Obama then retreated from the moral high-ground once it was apparent he would need to if he was to influence the choice of his replacement. The FBI affidavit said Blagojevich had been told by an adviser "the president-elect can get Rod Blagojevich's wife on paid corporate boards in exchange for naming the president-elect's pick to the Senate." that could have paid her as much as $150,000 a year. This begs the question "who informed the advisor of this apparent offer from Obama's staff?"

As Obama now tries to build some distance now between him and the Governor, it should be pointed out that he has had a lengthy relationship with Blagojevich, having not only enthusiastically endorsed Blagojevich in 2002 and 2006, but having served as a top adviser to the Illinois governor in his first 2002 run for the state house.

Both of these Democrats enjoyed a large amount of money and support from disreputable Chicago businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko, who is awaiting sentencing after being convicted in June on charges of using clout with Blagojevich's administration to help launch a $7 million kickback scheme. And Obama is close to Illinois Senate President Emil Jones, who has been the governor's staunchest legislative ally.

On Chicago television, Obama stated in 2002 that "Right now, my main focus is to make sure that we elect Rod Blagojevich as Governor, we...""You working hard for Rod?" interrupted the host- "You betcha," said Obama..."that's exactly right".
White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told the New Yorker earlier this year that he and Obama "participated in a small group that met weekly when Rod was running for governor. We basically laid out the general election, Barack and I and these two."

In an interview with the Chicago Daily Herald in July 2006, then-Sen. Obama said, "I have not followed closely enough what's been taking place in these investigations to comment on them." How could he not pay attention to such a political time-bomb... and what did he tell the DNC about this while running in the primaries? Does anybody believe this, really?

Interestingly, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr, one of Obama’s national campaign co-chairs, said that he met with Blagojevich on the day he was arrested "for the first time in years" and voiced his desire to fill Obama's empty Senate seat. He said he was "shocked" by Blagojevich's arrest, adding "If these allegations are proved true, I am outraged by the appalling, pay-to-play schemes hatched at the highest levels of our state government."

But it's clear by now that anyone meeting with Blago regarding this seat would have left the meeting with an understanding of what it's going to take... and it's truly incomprehensible how what Mr. Jackson is now saying after the arrest could be true. Now we have ABC news saying that Jackson was "candidate #5"... who Blagojevich advisers said on the tapes could come-up with $1M+ of campaign cash in exchange for the Senate appointment.

This investigation certainly focuses the mind on Obama's promised big government programs- which have always been likely to encourage corruption. His plan to flood state and local governments with economic stimulus money would surely empower corrupt politicians and union bosses. These types of misguided, big-spending programs are to be approached with additional caution after what was heard in Blagojevich's words on the FBI tapes- demanding $1M in campaign donations from an unnamed cement company who won the contract for the "green lanes" and other improvements to the Illinois Turnpike. It demonstrates the skill with which Democrats wrap big government spending that financially benefits their political supporters in an aura of social and/or environmental responsibility... Obama included.

For so many with lofty expectations for the Obama presidency, the cynicism of the disconcerting back-room political dealings with Hillary Clinton, and now this, still weeks before he even takes the oath must be very disappointing, to say the least.

The panicked, shrill defense of Obama out there on the left-edge of the blogosphere is indicative of mass denial, and is following the familiar pre-Nov 4th pattern of "you Republicans are all racist, just don't want a black president, you're jealous of the Democrats, what about Bush, though?"... etc.

But, when reality hits, it hits hard... especially when long-suppressed by so many, for so long. And this was the candidate that took the moral high-ground as his campaign's central theme, vs. Bush, Cheney, even attacking McCain's much-regretted and apologized-for relationship with Charles Keating, over 20 yrs ago. This was the candidate that promised "Change" and "Hope".
So now, let the truth be told... the de-programming of the Obama Cult is desperately needed, and seriously overdue.
