A Light Yellow Lily Watercolor Painting Finished!

Watercolor 11x14"

Finally! I am so glad to have finished this today, it just seemed to take forever. I am taking this one and the peony bud off to the framer today, these are the last 2 to be framed for my show.

Pink Peony Bud Watercolor Painting Finished!

Just finished this today. The lighting is a little off still (waiting for some sunshine). I will look at it a bit before I have it framed just to make sure :)
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Fuchsia Day Lily Watercolor Painting Finished!

I finished this today, I have been busy working on some more pen and ink :). I will post them when they are done. I am still in the planning stages for my next paintings so the pen & ink are a good filler. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Peach Day Lily Watercolor Painting Finished!

Finally finished this one today! I am glad to be moving on. This one is 16x20"

Watercolor Painting of Black Eyed Susan's Finished

This was the best picture I could get with the lighting, it is pretty close (at least on my monitor). I will post the first couple of steps for the Lily I am working on next - stay tuned!

More Pen and Ink with Watercolor

All of these are also 5x7 pen and ink with watercolor. These are from one of my favorite spots Kingrbrae Garden. I am also working on a couple of watercolor paintings, I will post some progress later. Thank you for looking and have a great night!

Pen and Ink with Watercolor

I have been doing some pen and Ink with watercolor, just as a break from my usual paintings. I find these very fun to do and I love to sketch (i don't do it as often as I like) These are all 5x7. I have some more I will post after these.

Latest Day Lily Watercolor Painting Finished!

I put a wash over the background to tone it down some. I put layers of perm rose on the petals to make them more vibrant. I removed the masking on the stamen and painted them earlier today. I am calling this done! I can't wait to get the next ones underway. Hope everyone has a fantastic night! Thanks

Another Lily Watercolor Painting - Finished!

I finally finished the lily today, glad to have it completed. I darkened some more of the background and lightened a few spots and finished developing the darks. Hope you like it, have a wonderful night! :)

Yellow Cone Flowers that I am working on in Pastel - Finished!

Finished this a few minutes ago, I got so carried away with the pastels I started to finish my red peony with them, I find the colors so vibrant and clean. I will post an update on the Red Peony later. We are getting a big snowfall tonight so I will have lots of time to work on my paintings. Hope everyone has a great night!

1 of 2 Watercolor Paintings I am Working on - The 3 Little Goats Finally Done!

The 3 Goats is finally done! I am so glad to have this done finally and to have Christmas over with for another year, it is so much work leading up to it. I am also working on a couple of flowers, I will post some progress on those later today hopefully. I can't wait for New Years! I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season!

2nd of 2 Watercolor Paintings I am Working on - Admission - Finished!

This one is finally done (for now lol) I have to go away from it for awhile and then look later to see.

Latest Watercolor Painting - Camera Shy

Again this one is really out of the box for me, I have spent so much time painting macros and close ups, I am starting to enjoy putting together these paintings. You really have a lot more to think about as far as composition goes. I did this little goat ( from Kingsbrae Gardens of course) with a limited palette. This little guy would not come out of the barn to get his picture taken, in fact the only one that was not shy was Dusty the baby.

Latest Watercolor Painting - Windmill at Kingsbrae Gardens

This is my latest painting, it is of the Windmill at Kingsbrae Gardens. This is another one that is different from my usual, I find it is very beneficial to move outside of your comfort zone every once and awhile. Hope you all have a great night!

Latest Watercolor Painting - Serenity

This is a different one for me to paint, I really enjoyed it. This was a garden statue I found tucked away at Kingsbrae Gardens in St. Andrews, I love the way the light seemed to be falling directly on it.
