Google Poll-of-polls Election Forecast Map... and Other Fun Facts

Google Maps now has joined forces with RealClearPolitics, Cook, Rothenberg, et. al. to produce this useful midterm tracker as Americans prepare en mass to pound a stake in the heart of the ill-fated 'progressive' movement...

Lookin' good for the white hats... and grim for the White House:

Interestingly, Rasmussen reports that a majority of likely voters now say that any low-down congresscritter that voted for the multi-zillion-dollar bailouts, porkulus, and/or ObamaCare boondoggle ought not be re-elected... but rather frog-marched out of the capital building ASAP -here-

In another survey, The Hill reports a majority in key congressional battleground states feel Obama has either brought no 'change' to DC... or only a change for the worse -here-

Just a few weeks back, Dick Morris and Michael Barone were about the only ones daring to say a 100-seat Demplosion was within the realm of real possibility- with many warning against Republican overconfidence. But with just 12 days before election, a historical 3-figure shift is not only being discussed widely amongst us... but in Democratic circles as well, as they now observe -to  their abject horror- a Midwest meltdown unfolding right before their eyes... -here-

No wonder they're starting to freak out, like Steny Hoyer actually laying a sucker punch on his GOP opponent in Maryland Charles Lollar. Does this idiot Hoyer know Major Lollar is a Marine reservist...?  Talk about cruisin-for-a-bruisin... lucky for him Lollar's above it -here-

Countdown to Demplosion 2010!

GOP in lead for 80% of competitive House seats...

The Hill's new poll confirms what so many others have been sensing... the power-drunk "progressive" movement is about to be vaporized:

Republicans are winning eight out of 10 competitive open House seats surveyed in a groundbreaking new poll by The Hill. Taken on top of 11 GOP leads out of 12 freshman Democratic districts polled last week, The Hill 2010 Midterm Election Poll points toward 19 Republican victories out of 22 races, while Democrats win only two and one is tied.

A further 20 districts will be polled over the next two weeks, for a total of 42 of the most closely contested races, which will point to who is going to win on Nov. 2 and control the House in the 112th Congress. The Week 2 focus on open seats vacated by Democrats suggests a string of important pickup victories by the GOP in the midterm election just three weeks away.

Republican candidates have taken big leads in two districts Democrats have held for nearly a century and a half-century, respectively, according to The Hill’s survey. A Republican is also ahead in the heavily Democratic district that contains President Obama’s hometown of Honolulu. Many races are tight — 12 of the 22 fall within the margin of error — but the margins, though slim, preponderantly favor the GOP...

There are over 40 open seats this cycle and almost half of them are considered competitive.

North Korean TV's Chris Matthews Now Says He Was "Smart" Not to Run for Senate (lol)

Just when you thought this wretched shill
couldn't insult your intelligence any more...

Spinning the sad historical reality of his stillborn Senate run in Pennsylvania, MSNBC's Comrade Chris actually asked guests on the intellectually-decrepit Hardball show Monday (yeah, it's still on) if "guys like me and Beau Biden" were "smart not to run this year"... while dismissing the Obama-fueled explosion of issue-specific anti-incumbent sentiment as "very emotional" (= simplistic serfs who can't grasp the complexities of what we're trying to do for/to them)

Matthews was 'smart' not to run... because he knew the rest of us are stupid ingrates

Meanwhile -back in reality- the fortuitous decision to not quit his cush MSNBC day job to run in the Democratic primary against Arlen Specter had little or nothing to do with any wisdom, foresight, or judgement on Matthews' part... rather, polling numbers at the time -unsurprisingly similar to his feeble Nielsons- suggested that he would be trounced.

Chris Matthews is an unprofessional and inherently dishonest liberal hack known for myriad on-air meltdowns, gushing over President Obama using superlatives such as "pluperfect", wincing in pain at the thought of a Republican Senate... not to mention referring to West Point as "an enemy camp" filled with "rabble".

But he's also developed a reputation for bizarre-yet-indicative spews that do lay bare just how detached from reality he and his far-Left ilk are. In today's featured example, instead of just being an unwanted and unloved wannabe-politician, Tingles is now smart and clairvoyant, too... whatever

Previous MSNBC owners General Electric wisely decided to get out of the propaganda business, dumping the failing MSNBC on Comcast in December '09.  And they got $30B for it, not bad considering the anemic ratings... you could probably reach more people yelling out the window.

But once they'd soaked the Obama-Pelosi-Reid triumvirate for all they were able in stimulus contracts and Russian business connections, coolly-calculating  and opportunistic GE likely never had any intention of reviving the network's spent credibility/audience- they got their use out of it, and like a car with 100,000 mi on the clock... time to make it somebody else's worry.

Why new management hasn't rolled the chronically under-performing 'progressive' MSNBC news team to the curb yet is beyond me- maybe Intrade ought to get some action going on whether any of these mindless drones like Matthews, Olbermann, or Maddow will remain employed in the wake of the Left's electoral pounding on November 2nd... common sense would suggest they will not.

Now back to Chris with the latest...

Divided Dems Move ObamaCare Along... but Only Just

Reid got his incremental victory last night- but conservatives have only begun to fight. We'll be melting the phones, marauding the blogosphere, and loading up fence-sitters' email inboxes like they've never seen before. What they need to know is that there's no future in opposing the will of the American people- and that a harsh political retribution is only 11 mos. away now for those who do.

This is of course the reason that Dear Leader feels the need to rush it through ASAP -besides tanking poll numbers and the fact that he'd really rather no one read it- many Dems are simply petrified of facing voters while the final vote on this increasingly unpopular mess drags-on into next year... as it seems almost certain to do now.

Even as the Senate Democrats pushed ahead procedurally, the day's events -and patchwork of dubious deals needed to get to 60 votes- betrayed serious divisions that make it all but impossible to complete work on a plan by year’s end... and might even wreck the $848 billion bill altogether.

Voting 60-39 on strictly partisan lines, the Senate sent the bill to the floor for debate after the Thanksgiving break, but not before more than a couple moderate Democrats served notice that they couldn’t back the bill in its current form.

Thankfully, the so-called "opt-out" public option effectively died in the Senate chamber, as the last two Dem holdouts demanded changes to the bill. These comments signal trouble ahead... weeks of negotiations remain on a bill Obama once hoped to have on his desk by Christmas. It now appears that splits in the party over the public option, abortion and other aspects could kill this thing after-all...

"The Democrat plan would make life harder for the vast majority of Americans. It raises their taxes, it raises their health care premiums, it cuts their Medicare and drives millions off the private insurance they currently have,” GOP Leader Mitch McConnell said.

John McCain said Reid was guilty of budget gimmickry by cutting Medicare and raising taxes in the first year of the bill, 2010, but not starting many of the services until 2014. “I don’t think Americans really understand the scam that’s going on here,” McCain said.

“I think Bernie Madoff went to jail for this kind of behavior.”

Reid Schedules Dubious Weekend Vote, Suppresses Debate

The Democrats' head-weasel in the Senate -Dingy Harry Reid- will allow just 10 hours of debate on this radical government takeover of the HC industry prior to a squirelly Saturday-night vote... on the weekend when constituents can't contact their representative's offices because they are closed... isn't that special?.

The vote is expected around 8 p.m. EST, and will determine whether debate can go forward on Majority Leader Harry Reid's 2,074-page bill to dramatically remake the U.S. health care system over the next decade.

As noted by Left Coast Rebel:

... these bastards are pushing this thing despite overwhelming public mistrust... and on a Saturday, no less.

The chicanery amidst us knows no bounds. Massive tax hikes, myriad new agencies, monthly abortions fees, a conglomeration of everything terrible that the Federal Government represents with any entitlement program.

LCReb's got a useful call-your-wavering-Senator-now guide here...

And don't underestimate the Democrat's willingness to make outrageous backroom deals that leave we bagholders with the tab... and them with new statist powers. Senator Landrieu of Louisiana's already been bought off by the Dems... for a honking $100M.

One bright spot for conservatives has been the brave and principled stand of Joe Lieberman, who says he won't vote for cloture as long as it still has a "public option". Revenge is a dish best served cold... maybe it's starting to dawn on the DNC that they really shouldn't have attempted to screw him over for supporting the war-

As you've probably already read, far-left moonbats and members of the barnacle class have put on threatening, intimidating protests right in front of Lieberman's house this week... a shameful tactic against his family and right to a private life at home. Heat up the kettle of boiling oil, Joe- or just have your driver back over em in your Suburban, nobody's going to miss them.

And the Conneticut Senator's latest on this vital vote?
“I’m just — I’m being a legislator. After what I went through in 2006, there’s nothing much more that anybody [who] disagrees with me can try to do.”

“It’s classic politics of our time that if you look at the campaign last year, presidential, you can’t find a mention of public option,” Lieberman said. “It was added after the election as a part of what we normally consider health insurance reform — insurance market reforms, cover people, cover people who are not covered.
I don't know about you, but I'm going to pray that we can put a stop to this ill-conceived tax-n-control grab by the power-drunk Democrats... you'd think that's how a supposedly mature democracy would work, seeing that most people oppose it.

Say Anything blog thinks Reid faces two major obstacles... and they're named Lincoln and Dorgan... -here-

Win or lose now though, seems like the political damage is already done to Barack Obama and his party... they will likely face a decimating retribution and Obama attitude-adjustment at the polls in just 11 mos- some like Dick Morris are already predicting a 100-seat loss. Then, with massive GOP gains we can repeal anything the Obama-Pelosi-Reid junta does manage to get through... let's hope so.
