Alinsky Left in Full-Court Press

With Barack Obama's poll numbers starting to look just a wee-bit shakey, and embarrassing TEA Party II protests about to put to bed the nonsensical Everyone-Just-Loves-Barack myth, it's not by chance that now we see fresh attempts at baiting fake conflicts on the right... in-order to divert attention from the president's habitual dishonesty, hubris, disregard for the law/constitution/ethics, and general all-round incompetence, while keeping the GOP back-on-their-heels for 2010 and beyond.

And the most obvious conclusion that can be drawn from their words and actions is that the Democratic Party is terrified of Sarah Palin- pure and simple.

Nobody in the GOP could care less what Colin Powell says... nor Meghan McCain, anonymous sources/"leaks" in Rolling Stone or Vanity Fair, blather from MSNBC's Obot-drones, repulsive "humor" from David Letterman, et al. But the left is attempting to create the appearance of ceaseless chaos and disunity within the Republican party- there's little doubt about that.

Various naive or disingenuous RINOs and other mysterious "sources" -with their puerile he said/she said statements- aren't news, and not relevant in any way. Obama and the MSM/left are simply exploiting them to create their own politically-useful stories and manufactured GOP "scandals".

The left have been employing despicable Alinsky-inspired divide-and-conquer and character assassination techniques since before The One was even sworn-in… promoting synthetic “fights” like Limbaugh vs. Steele, in-addition to ceaseless ridicule of Jindal, Palin, and others- even shameful distortion of the legacy of Ronald Reagan. The strategy's larger purpose is to eliminate GOP rallying points and philosophical framework for 2010/12... while making the Republicans look like they're mired in petty, peripheral issues.

Now we again have yet another crude attack on Sarah Palin, factually inaccurate and mostly unsubstantiated by Vanity Fair so as to stir-the-pot, so then the press can descend upon various Republicans to try and quote them in contradiction to one another... same underhanded game for months now.

Typical in support of this effort is calculating articles like here on Politico- telling us all how "high profile" Republicans are allegedly fighting like cats-n-dogs regarding the recent Vanity Fair article on Sarah Palin. But Steve Schmidt is far from relevant- as a matter of fact after bungling the McCain campaign, his career has got to be over. But for some reason, the left hangs on his every word... how about that. Rather, I'd take Kristol's version of events- if you have any interest in the truth here.

As for Meghan McCain's latest sage advice that Republicans forgive disgraced, irresponsible, and selfish Governor Mark Sanford... well, it's just about time that her daddy finally told her to shut up. I've never met one person in my life who gives two hoots what this girl has to say- why should they?

The fact is that this poor thing is so hungry for her 15 mins of fame... but sadly is too dumb to see she's only being put on TV as a tool of the Alinskyite left, and with no greater moral or intellectual authority than, say, a Levi Johnston. But now that she's had a taste, she can't handle going back to hang-out at the mall in obscurity... and man, are they making a fool out of her. You'd think her parents would have educated her on how the world works- perhaps she wouldn't have turned out to be such a useful idiot for the DNC.

The Democrats know perfectly well Obama's poll numbers are going to be in the toilet by 2012, so they've opted for pre-emptive attacks and character assasination on all fronts- and as far as they're concerned, the best defense is a good offense, coupled to Alinsky-style diversions. As indicated by their substantial efforts in her direction, Governor Palin has clearly emerged in their minds as the gravest threat to an Obama 2nd term.

And what a coincidence it is then, that all this specious "advice" for the GOP coming from Team Obama, Pelosi, Reid, assorted B-league RINOs, and the press just happens to involve the party abandoning the principles that bring it votes and/or conflict with the Obama agenda. All this in order to morph into some sort of Obama-lite, and a silent partner in Obama's stealthy, yet radical makeover of this country. Hey liberals, if we wanted your "advice"- don't you think we'd ask for it?

It’s also not difficult to see why Democrats might prefer to banter playfully about made-up GOP “scandals” and irrelevancies like Meghan’s latest drivel than debate Obama’s ongoing destruction of the country-

Back in (MSM-ignored) reality, Obama is being largely humiliated overseas, and this week Al Jazeera harshly criticized Obama's tepid and useless "support" for the protesters in Iran- who even this pan-Arabic news network said were largely pro-American. Oh well, they won't be anymore by the time Obama's done allying himself with their slave-masters- and since they're mostly the young and educated of Iran, they will be hating us for the next 50 years now. Note that Chairman O sure didn't waste any time in voicing support for a corrupt Honduran leftist, though.

North Korea's already telling us they're going to fire missiles right at us- could you imagine that crackpot trying this on Reagan's watch? He'd have made it abundantly clear that if they struck us, Pyongyang would be turned into a glass-floored, self-lighting parking lot. What does Obama do? Issue some wishy-washy statement of "concern"- then cowers under his desk.

And as reported by Sammy at Yid-with-Lid, this week, even the far-left, uber-Obama fans at Der Spiegel ripped him a new one for his ill-advised and treacherous print-money spending. Meanwhile, the socialist bastions of Germany and Hungary this week both enacted tax cuts to stimulate their economies... a stark contrast to the United States' precarious path.

What is becoming apparent is that when the Democrats' reckless pork-n-welfare spending spree fails to create any real economic gains -but stokes vicious inflation and crashes the dollar instead- the Democrats will face significant setbacks in November 2010- which is now only 16 mos away.

The moment is fast approaching when the propaganda and immoral attacks on Palin, Jindal, and others are as exposed and despised as the Democrats' serial mismanagement of America is destined to be. There is then to be a heavy electoral price for the Democrats... while history is likely to be an even harsher judge. This could play-out as the largest wasted political opportunity of all time, with the Democratic Party not wholly-entrusted with the purse strings ever again, once we all digest the price for the catastrophic folly of Obamamania.

The employment of such bad-faith media disinformation tactics -coupled to the plastic, disingenuous front that Obama presents- is absolutely un-American. Sadly, this fits-right-in with the rest of his statist, anti-freedom agenda. Many in this country are belatedly coming to realize these things... and they don't like it.

Yes-We-Can Internet Op Morphs Into Orwellian Thought-Control

What was accomplished by Team Obama in last fall's presidential campaign regarding the Internet has been widely considered to be historic- changing the way that political campaigns are organized, strategized,  financed, and implemented.   


Julius Genachowski -who worked on the Harvard Law Review with Obama- is the high-tech entrepreneur behind the use of  technology in the presidential campaign. He is the one that convinced Obama that the Web had powerful implications for his ideas about "empowerment" and connecting people. 

But Obama's 2008 campaign has never ended- it's now employed to to push-through massive spending programs and other initiatives, as well as keep real (and perceived) enemies back-on-their-heels.   Barack is still out there on the stump, on YouTube, in tightly scripted-and-'Prompted pressers... with continuing grassroots door-to-door operations and TV ads funded by the DNC. Of course, Team Obama web-based efforts continue as a high priority... and this seems to include a comprehensive and organized effort to control political discourse on the Internet-with a disciplined message and Obamamania cheerleading, coupled with Alinsky-style attacks and diversions when useful.  

According to Politico, "Obama for America, the fundraising juggernaut that powered Obama's ascent to the presidency, spent nearly $9.5 million in the first three months of this year", including on telemarketing and print and online advertising, event staging, money for the DNC, the Obama political group Organizing for America, and the Obama family. The report also shows that Obama for America contributed $4 million to the DNC.  Organizing for America is funded by the DNC... and operates Obama's continuing effort on the web.

Vladimir Lenin had said of the cutting-edge media of his day: "Of all the arts, for us (communists), the cinema is most important."  The Bolshevik was clearly not referring to artistic or cultural value of the film industry; rather, cinema's usefulness as a medium for propaganda and tool of agitation.  


Today's equivalent -the Internet- is more far-reaching, wide-ranging, powerful, and effective than Vlad ever dreamed of.  But it's also harder to control-  thus the unprecedented efforts we are seeing from Team Obama to both utilize and contain it.

And the Democrats appear to have all avenues covered:  far-left to moderate, as well as more innocuous Hope-n-Changey blogs supporting the President; systematic trolling on blogs' comments sections; manipulating political message boards; mass-rating of news items on aggregators such as Digg, etc.  Team Obama also installed tracking-cookies on the computers of those visiting the Obama '08 website to track their online history for use in a DNC data base.

And anyone reading message boards these days -such as Politico, Topix, or Yahoo!- can see what appears to be organized Obama-ites jumping on fresh conversation threads thoroughly and promptly, gaming the ratings-system with multiple IDs (I once had a message on Yahoo! rated over 100 times- curiously, with zero written responses)- as well as attempting any other imaginable manipulation perceived to be to their propaganda advantage.  Sometimes, the goal seems simply to clog the board with so many new posts and topics as to render conservative messages unreadable.

There are taunting statements and personal attacks on what they call the "cons"- burying their posts in gobbledygook.  Steer the topic.  Change the subject.  Deflect and divert. And they're at it all day long- in a comprehensive and systematic way.  It is hard to avoid the conclusion that there are organized trolls attempting to hijack and control all internet debate, all to maintain momentum for The One as he rams-through an ultra-liberal agenda while also focused on 2010... and 2012.

Using ID's as "Little Bam" and "USA_4_Obama", you see them on there spinning every reality like the Tasmanian Devil...  i.e.- the New Deal was just great (but perhaps not big enough), everybody loves Barack, all his opponents are retrograde racist/anti-progressives in the "Party of No"... or are somehow allied with the evil and greedy "rich".  

They interestingly stick tightly to DNC talking-points ala JournoList regarding Michael Steele, Rush Limbaugh, anything to trash Palin, Jindal... even shameful slander of Ronald Reagan's legacy, all in an obvious effort to distort the truth and destroy any potential GOP rallying-points for 2010/2012.  They seem to be working off the same list of accusations, targets, and historical revisionism as the White House and their media allies- as they display precious little variance that would indicate free-thinking, good faith discourse.   

And it's not difficult to see why the Democrats might prefer to banter playfully about made-up GOP "scandals" and irrelevancies like Meghan McCain's latest drivel than debate Obama's ongoing destruction of the country.  When most of his domestic and foreign policies are a carbon copy of serial-failure Jimmy Carter's, and there's no other historical prededent to suggest potential for success -and when today's Republicans demand proven solutions- might as well just attack them personally, or employ some diversion, eh? 

Breitbart.com actually polices nonpartisan newswire stories for such obviously coordinated attacks. According to Andrew Breitbart "Much of Mr. Obama’s vaunted online strategy involved utilizing “Internet trolls” to invade enemy lines under false names and trying to derail discussion.  In the real world, that’s called “vandalism.” But in a political movement that embraces “graffiti” as avant-garde art , that’s business as usual. It relishes the ability to destroy other people’s property in pursuit of electoral victory."  Other right-leaning sites such as Instapundit and Nadtional Review Online even refuse to allow comments, so as to not provide a platform for the mischievious activist left. 

Sadly, similar efforts from the Democrats have been with us for some time, and in various forms. During the Clinton impeachment scandal, a then-new leftist group out of California called MoveOn.org employed a plan to get its members to dial into right-leaning talk radio shows such as Rush Limbaugh with scripted talking points falsely claiming that they were Republicans. They then feigned revulsion and said they "would never vote for the GOP again if the case against Bill Clinton was pursued."  The same MoveOn.org is, of course, today in the vanguard of the web's leftist-activists.

"This is nothing more than the Internet version of Soviet disinformation," Human Events editor Jed Babbin told Brietbart. "MoveOn.org and the little boys from Lord of the Flies who run Media Matters want to make it appear that there's huge dissension within conservative ranks on issues on which we're most united."  

Breitbart continued:  "The right, for the most part, embraces basic Judeo-Christian ideals and would not promote nor defend the propaganda techniques that were perfected in godless communist and socialist regimes. The Huffington Post, Daily Kos and other left-leaning sites benefit from the right's belief that there are rules and decorum in political debate and civic engagement. Of course, every now and then, a curious right-winger will go in and engage in discussion at a left-wing site, but rarely under purely disingenuous and mass coordinated means."

I myself have received numerous hostile messages that ring similar and hollow on this blog, the Reaganite Republican Resistance- and I moderate them for that reason:  it's not the specious taunting, but there's a transparent focus and agenda.  This includes repeated messages by the same two or three of the same people attacking the GOP, Reagan, or myself; kindly reminding me that "Ronnie is dead, and so are his ideas"; "the GOP has no leader", I'm a "racist" and a "coward" not to post their messages;  then telling me what mental-problems I have (they obviously operate under the directive that no conservative message should go unchallenged- so do what it takes).  Note that one of Alisky's most valued techniques is "ridicule" to "provoke" the "target" into responding.

Creatively, one of these online charlatans has now taken to informing me that he has "Republican friends who complained that I wouldn't publish their messages"- which is, naturally, sheer fiction- I publish anything that doesn't reek of troll.  There have also been a dozen dubious "I'm a Republican", but shouldn't we all "just get along" and "give Obama a chance"- with almost identical scripts... while the real Obama we're supposed to try and get-along-with charges an ultra-liberal multi-trillion-dollar spending orgy to your great-grandkids' Visa-card.   Things that make you go hmmm.

Young and net-savvy Obama campaign manager David Plouffe has admitted that there is such a web-based effort in support of Obama... he runs it... and it's funded by the DNC:

"David Plouffe, who ran Obama's campaign, now runs "Organizing for America" out of the Democratic National Committee. It uses the same Web-based tactics that won the presidency to mobilize public opinion behind Obama's initiatives." 

The Yes-We-Can wolfpacks on the blogs and message boards may be paid by this program, but who knows-  Plouffe is notoriously stingy with campaign funds.  Regardless, there is surely a  residual supply of enthusiastic volunteers to staff any effort he has organized to flood the net.  Mr. Plouffe operates out of the DNC's offices-- same place the anti-Limbaugh ads came from (some even is Spanish) to dovetail with attacks from Obama, Emanuel, and their media allies.  The DNC is basically evolving into a propaganda ministry for Obama- now with Plouffe bringing ACORN-style community-organizing to the web to support Obama's agenda. 

But employing such a manipulation on blogs and message-boards serepticiously is really not clever, slick, or anything to be proud of... rather, it's underhanded, cowardly, and ethically dubious. If Obama's wisdom and moral supremacy are so self-evident, then why such fear of an open discussion of the issues? 

It's all pretty anti-democratic... un-American... and the whole thing stinks like trash-truck juice: an appalling mix of internet-savvy trickery and borderline fraud, Chicago-Machine thuggery, with a little ITAR-Tass mixed-in.  Such efforts to control public discourse are far more totalitarian-propagandist Stalin-Goebbels-Castro than the fair-play democracy of Washington-Jefferson-Lincoln.  The development and implementation of such tactics by Team Obama should be disturbing to anyone who values the good-faith discourse traditional in our country. 

President Obama is apparently not satisfied with just purporting false intentions and misleading, vague "plans" -like that he intends to halve the deficit while simultaneously spending like a billion drunken sailors-  he has also felt the need to fund a propaganda campaign to drill what he wants (and needs) you to believe into your head... and while neutralizing any opposing voices. But the recent TEA parties seems to have stuck a nerve with the President and his sycophants... they showed that many of the less-smitten amongst us are fast becoming wise to this habitually-dishonest closet socialist. 

Now we are told that pending legislation before the US Congress would allow Obama the power to shut down the entire Internet whenever he deems appropriate- talk about the wolf guarding the henhouse.

According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation "The group (EFF) is particularly worried about the Commander-in-Chief becoming Commander-of-the-Web. It says the bill gives the president “unfettered authority to shut down Internet traffic in an emergency and disconnect critical infrastructure systems on national security grounds.” The bill would permit the White House to declare a "cybersecurity emergency" and shut down or limit Internet traffic in any network the president declares "critical." 

And it's uber-partisan and serial-opportunist Rahm Emanuel that will have the President's ear regarding just what constitutes such an emergency. After the disturbing, politically-motivated DHS report on "right-wing extremists" -in addition to relentless Team Obama online shenanigans- it's pretty difficult to make the case for why we should trust the Machiavellian Obama Administration with the most powerful communication medium that's the world's ever seen- one that ruthless revolutionary and pioneering-propagandist Lenin surely would have stood before in awe... and envy.

Palin/Jindal 2012?

There's really no shortage of interesting possibilities for the GOP in 2012, a year by which this country will likely be waking-up with a painful socialist hangover and a trillion-dollar Federal deficit, then asking "what were we thinking?"

The GOP's rising stars are being discussed as the party seeks direction, and there may be a couple surprise prospects by the time the presidential primaries of 2011 roll-around... driven by a good Republican showing in 2010 mid-terms. Yeah, it is a little early... but so what, why not have some fun thinking about it? You can be sure that both the major parties already are.

You can't dismiss Mitt Romney's intelligence, ambition, and abilities. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels was just re-elected by 18 points in a state that that went to Obama. House Minority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia has also been mentioned. Florida Governor Charlie Crist is another prospect for the GOP. Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty's an ambitious young conservative who's an evangelical Christian, popular with the religious right. There is of course the chance of another run in 2012 from Mike Huckabee and/or Rudy Giuliani.

As conservatives are well-aware, the DNC has just completed successful Presidential, Senatorial, and Congressional campaigns... and Democratic strategists such as David Axelrod seem to have a thumb on the pulse of the electorate at this point in time. They of course are thinking long-term now, and would love to establish Democratic preeminence. Wouldn't it be interesting to see who they think is the most likely to oppose them in the 2012 Presidential contest? Or better yet, who do they fear the most?

With a little analysis of recent words and actions of Democrats and their allies in the press, the answer may be more apparent. While the left is now leaving John McCain to lick his wounds in peace, the emergence of fresh post-election attacks on Sarah Palin certainly rouses curiosity... and are now starting on Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, as well.

There seems to be a strategy of preemption afoot, and from the left, of all places (I thought they were opposed to that sort of thing)- MSM, online media, and bloggers are all going after Governor Palin in a sustained effort, and mysterious leaks and rumors persist. Theories are bantered-about such as about how her Christian faith could have her pushing the "nuke" button to expedite the moment of Rapture. MSNBC's crew has been relentless. And liberal websites and bloggers have never let-up.

To an outside observer, the Democrats appear perhaps fearful of Sarah Palin coming back at them in 2012 with a dynamic and complementary VP nominee like Bobby Jindal. While the press couldn't deny her success and popular appeal during the campaign (particularly following Palin's impressive debut at the convention), they neutralized this unavoidable positive coverage with synthetic "scandals" from the day she was first introduced by McCain in Dayton.

And of course those who discounted Palin's short tenure as governor would be the last ones to note that she was the only candidate on either ticket with any executive experience whatsoever. Or that she is responsible for an $11B budget... which is currently running a surplus. Instead, they will continue to belittle Sarah Palin as some sort of backwoods-Barbie with bizarre religious beliefs, purely strategic, defensive propaganda that serves their own purposes.

The Democrats' double-standard sexism is appalling; she's "dumb" because she's a happy and attractive Christian, who enjoys being a mother? Real feminists need to be angry, wear combat boots, no make-up, short hair, and live alone in a studio apartment in the East Village? She's not the right kind of example because she doesn't support affirmative action... and instead went out there and just kicked the ol' boys butts?

Regardless of what they are saying, don't think for a minute that the Democrats didn't duly note her strengths and appeal during the campaign... as current their behaviour indicates that they most certainly did.

Palin consistently enjoys 70+% approval ratings as governor... are all those people idiots? Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until she stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.

Wouldn't it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine?

Or shady political operators like Tony Rezko?

Racist preachers?

Instead of doing business with every last one of them?

The DNC's friends in the leftist media and blogosphere will be behaving in the most hypocritical manner possible over the next couple years, discrediting Palin and claiming condescendingly that she is a "joke"- precisely because they know the opposite to be true. She has been highly-successful in life while ignoring the left-wing feminist model... this helps to explain the extra dose of venom in these attacks. They are pursuing efforts to destroy her, of that you can be sure... we've already seen the start of it.

A recent column in the Washington Post listed "Ten Republicans to Watch" for 2012... and curiously left Palin out, reasoning that "opinion leaders and establishment types within the GOP regard her VERY lightly", and that "it is not yet clear how she will find a way to remain in the national dialogue" from her frontier "far-flung outpost" in Alaska (never mind that Osama Bin Laden has no trouble whatsoever obtaining access to the media from his cave in the Pakistani tribal boonies). Not only is much of the country interested in her continued narrative, Sarah Palin shows no intention of fading away- as her post-election PR tour attests.

A liberal newspaper like the Washington Post has their (new) "Republican" columnist imply that Palin is a non-starter for 2012? Excuse me, but I smell a rat; this reminds one of how short-sellers on Wall St. get someone in the financial press to trash the company that they've already bet against.

And while there are plenty of reasons to doubt these claims made about GOP leaders having a low opinion of Palin, the sad fact is that after the last two electoral debacles, nobody really cares what the party leadership allegedly thinks, anyway. The party grandees up in Alaska weren't too keen on her taking on the GOP incumbent for governor, either... and Sarah Barracuda rolled right over them. With much of the country in a throw-the-bums-out mood, demanding accountability from Wall St.-to-Motown, it is difficult to envision any GOP "elite" holding a very strong hand with the party's grass-roots after 2006 and 2008... because they don't.

Most Republicans I speak with want a bottom-up revolution in the GOP to restore Reaganite principles. And Sarah Palin has the potential to be The Gipper in heels.

The crucial senate runoff in Georgia has featured appearances by political heavyweights from both sides of the aisle. To the surprise of some, the GOP has broken out Palin to lead the charge for the incumbent Saxby Chambliss. For Palin to join in a series of rallies across the state the day before the runoff is perhaps indicative of her new role in the party. While others such as Huckabee, Romney and Giuliani have appeared too, it looks like Palin has been brought-in as the closer.

There's likely to be quite a political backlash in this country when Obama pushes his radical agenda forward, and some people find out quite a bit too late what they actually voted for. Palin would be well-positioned to emerge as the leader of such a movement. Basically, the kind of things she steadfastly represents will be finding an increasingly receptive audience as Obama's shallow novelty wears-off and failures mount.

While Palin may need to hit the books and seek-out expert advisers on foreign policy, etc. to develop her platform, she is obviously an intelligent, principled, and gifted woman .. as well as a quick study. But the common sense, courage, natural charisma, and genuine connection to the party faithful that is so vital in winning elections are all things that simply can't be taught... and Sarah Palin's got them in spades.

A Palin/Jindal 2012 ticket is a very real possibility, they actually complement each other's experience, appeal, and abilities quite well. Both are also idealistic and brave conservatives. And when the country finally realizes what a scam Obamamania really was, and how he really has very little to offer this country, they'll be interested in somebody real... like these two fine individuals.

Both Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal have done wonders to straighten-out corrupt state politics of her Alaska, and in the case of Jindal's Louisiana, decades of mismanagement, too. The political establishment in these states had little interest in letting an idealistic woman, nor an Indian-heritage wiz-kid, come in and disassemble their old-boy network, then take away their patronage and perks. But in both the cases, the electorate was fed-up with politics as usual, and brought in a clever, brave reformer. Both of these states have been delighted with the results. Palin and Jindal are both also dyed-in-the-wool fiscal and social conservatives... there would be zero debate within the GOP about the issues that divided and weakened the party in 2007-08.

And why else has Jindal produced such enthusiasm in GOP circles?

Jindal is, at 37, the youngest governor in the country. And his resume is nothing short of astounding. A graduate of Brown University, Jindal studied at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. He then turned down acceptances to Yale Law School and Harvard Medical School to go into government. After Oxford, Jindal worked briefly at the highly respected consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where the phenom advised Fortune 500 companies.

At just 24 years of age, Jindal was appointed Secretary of Louisiana's Department of Health and Hospitals. During his tenure, Louisiana's Medicaid program went from bankruptcy, with a $400M annual deficit... to three years of surpluses totaling $220 million.

Bobby (legal name "Piyush", the nickname adopted at the age of four, to emulate his favorite character on "The Brady Bunch") also served as an assistant secretary in the Federal Health and Human Services department. He was president of the University of Louisiana system, where he raised graduation rates, retention and private donations. Jindal served as a senior health policy adviser in the Bush administration. He then successfully ran for U.S. Congressman from Louisiana in 2004, and was subsequently re-elected in 2006 with 88% of the vote.

Jindal is a gifted communicator, with a trademark rapid-fire delivery. His story as the son of Indian immigrants is truly a fulfillment of the American dream. Simply put, Jindal embodies a GOP ideal; America offers a chance to those who want it take it and run with it, rather than entitlement to those who simply have the audacity to come here and demand it.

He converted from the Hindu religion to Roman Catholicism while a teenager, and his platform is pro-life, pro-school choice, pro-gun rights and pro-free market. He runs as a social and fiscal conservative, promising no tax-increases.

In running for governor in 2007, Jindal's win was also quite impressive, winning 60 of 64 parishes in Louisiana. He received 54% of the popular vote in a four-way race ... his nearest competitor was at 17%. This was enough for Jindal to win the election, as he attained over half the vote in the first-round primaries.

Governor Jindal oozes competence. In contrast to the Katrina disaster, Gov Jindal's emergency plans this year ran like a well-oiled machine. He oversaw one of the largest and smoothest evacuations in U.S. history in late August 2008, prior to the Louisiana landfall of Hurricane Gustav.

As for the GOP's recent setbacks at the polls, Jindal said in an interview with Rush Limbaugh that "People need to look at the history of Ronald Reagan when he lost his first attempt at the Presidency (in 1976). He didn’t go back and say, ‘Let’s water down the conservatism. Let’s dilute what we’re saying. He made it even stronger. He made it even sharper. There’s a lesson there for potential candidates"

"We need to be principled in our conservatism. We need to be unabashed, unafraid. We won’t always be popular with editorial writers and a lot of the members of the national media, and that’s okay. At the end of the day, it’s more important that we stick to our principles."

And of course, the media already have their long knives out for Gov Jindal... in a similar approach to the one used on Palin: paint her as a wack-job, an eccentric, and just too far-right for American voters. Outfits such as the Huffington Post and Daily Kos are already trying to nip Jindal's ascension in the bud.

But they are right about one thing; they have reason to fear the electoral appeal and success of Bobby Jindal. This accomplished conservative doer is the very antithesis to the Democrat's unaccomplished, liberal talker now in the White House.

As for the media that will be trashing these two over the next couple years, they are about to be exposed as the fraud that they've become. Any major disappointment with the Obama Administration will see-to-it that Obama cheerleaders like MSNBC are never again taken seriously by voters. Add to that the near-certainty that the variance between Obama the candidate-as-rock-star and Obama the President is bound to disillusion whole lot of people. What they say about Palin and Jindal will then be simply disregarded by most voters... just as the electorate ignored the press' alarmist rantings against Ronald Reagan in 1980.

Palin/Jindal 2012?
