Another Limo Liberal Out of the Ether

Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press -aside from being an authority in the sports world and accomplished author, screenwriter, playwrite, and musician- is about as left-of-center as one can be politically... or at least he was. For Mr Albom is yet another celebrity Obot who seems to have received a bit of a wake-up call upon the dawning realization that Obama's plan to spread-the-wealth does indeed include his money.

Judging by his column this week, Mitch is rethinking that November presidential vote, as yet another Pollyanna liberal realizes that Barack Obama misled the electorate as to the radical nature of his agenda... as well as to precisely who he and his Alinskyite class-warfare soldiers consider to be "rich".

All you other influential liberals and MSM "elites", you had your fun- and probably almost broke your arm patting yourself on the back when you got the Dear Leader elected by helping to convince the plebes he was some super-human-being that could help the country... rather than the arrogant, inexperienced Bolshevik thug that he actually is.

Now you are getting the taxes you deserve, as Barack Obama is going to bleed you dry. And you can forget writing off those local taxes on your overpriced eastcoast/leftcoast home mortgage... you'll be paying more on that, too. Plus here's the kicker: you'll be sending a lot of that money to people in red states... to people whom you can't stand.

New Yorkers, Californians, residents of the Northeast and the D.C. Corridor, politically fashionable media types- you elected Obama- so step-up and pay those absurd taxes without complaining. You wanted bigger government- try this on for size.

Those who live in places with more rational state tax structures will welcome you when you want to move there... well no, not really- LOL.

Not much to do now except head-out in the morning, jump in your Prius with the Hope-n-Change bumper-sticker on the back, and get to work... Barack Obama needs your money.

The Obamapologists

Obviously, with the MSM so in-the-tank for Team Obama, and having bet all their chips on blue some time ago- they will now be finding it difficult to extricate themselves from the role of knee-jerk apologists for a president who's popularity is in steep decline. 


Surely many have been caught by surprise by Obama's collapsing support, and will rapidly formulating a Plan B they didn't think they'd be needing for awhile... if ever. For people with a business to run, their blind support of the Dear Leader seems to have been a reckless gamble... perhaps fueled by liberal hubris and delusions of their own power.

But many of those who have painted themselves into this corner will not be able to reverse course, and their residual credibilty will evaporate. They are actually complicitous in covering-up Obama's shady past and dubious credentials, and in the process saddled us with the most radical and anti-American of presidents. 


These media figures -the Courics, the Gibsons, Williams', MSNBC- will likely go down with the USS Obamamania, while those who put a little more effort into seeking the actual truth -like ABC's Jake Tapper- will be recognized for fulfilling their duties as more principled journalists.

The entire American media scene might be shaken to the core, and in the wake a new landscape with the traditional MSM in smoldering little bits- and new media emerging as the most likely victors. 


Obvious exceptions would be Obama pumpers at Daily Kos, HuffPo, and other online toadies who will be recognized as the propaganda organs that they actually are. It will also be interesting to note just how many people will still be reading these rags when Americans wince at the mere mention of the name Obama- and George Soros' son Jonathan isn't putting them on the top of the Google Blog Search results any more.

There are supposedly free-thinking American citizens still be deep in the ether, cheerleading as Obama re-arranges the deck chairs on the Titanic. Many seem oblivious to the fact that this administration is far more focused on quickly and irreversibly inflicting a radical liberal agenda upon this country than any practical management of our actual priorities. Monotonous drones appear on political forums and blog comments, and continue to be accomplices with MSM- willing to put a substantial, sustained effort into creating excuses for Obama's habitual dishonesty, hidden past/agenda/asscociates... as well as serial incompetence and shocking ignorance for a man with degrees from Columbia and Harvard... one purported to be "the smartest president ever" (hat tip: American Thinker).

But these poeple who are enabling this Bolshevik con-artist are doing a terrible disservice to this country, as he is doing everything possible to bring us down. His otherwise inexplicable disregard for things the rest of us hold dear -while lying to our faces about his true intent- appears to be part of a plan to gain from an orchestrated crisis- per the Cloward-Piven strategy.

This is a man who hates America because he had a bad childhood and was raised by far-left freaks... and unsettlingly appears to be a clinical narcissist in the mold of Hitler, Stalin, Kim Jong Il, Idi Amin, and Pol Pot. Yet there are those who still never tire of telling us how great, kind, wise, and cool he is... while doing their level-best to keep a contrasting focus on the "disaster" of the Bush Administration... just so we all realize just how good we've got it now.

Back in reality, it has become apparent to most that Obama is not only completely unqualified and incompetent, but he's little more than a racist, arrogant, self-absorbed Chicago Machine hack. His divisive comments on the Gates arrest -and nomination of a La Raza member to the SCOTUS- shows you just how far he will be setting back race relations in the country... for decades.

Many wishful-thinking or guilt-tripped voters are finally waking up to all this... although conservatives have been warning them for over a year. And Obama's disowned Chicago allies -felons Blagojevich and Rezko- haven't even started talking yet. Yet still we have those unwilling to see, many of them perhaps liberal one-issue voters who see no home for them in the GOP... and/or are directly involved with the DNC.

I'm really not that interested in the Birthers' crusade- for purely pragmatic reasons, as Biden is even worse. And you can bet that Obama planned it that way, since narcissists need to be surrounded by obsequious sycophants to confirm their omnipotence.... as-well as provide political security as an upalatable alternative. 


But as the Obamapologists aggressively try to bury the birth-certificate issue, one has to wonder why they show such energetic concern... as with Sarah Palin, if she's so silly and irrelevant... why the obsession? Is the president again hiding something? He's already been proven to be a shameless liar... perhaps even a compulsive one. I'd like to see any such issue resolved in a comprehensive manner- I'm sure not going to take Obama's word for anything, after the 12 mos of his habitual dishonesty, his credibility is already non-existent.

And the numbers don't add up here: you have a guy that is supposedly so smart... yet he will spend over a million dollars to have a bunch of lawyers fight these kind of cases in court... rather than just cough-up 20 bucks and be done with it? And why seal all his records?

And the reality that they are attempting to obfuscate is that Barack Obama has not only scrapped myriad campaign promises, is not bipartisan, and is not post-racial... but that he has actually accomplished precious little in his first six months except spend trillion$ that we don't have, reach out to the scum of the earth only for them to spit in his "extended hand"... while creating new, deep divisions in this country financially, politically, and racially. All of this is in direct conflict with his past pledges and "soaring rhetoric", of course.

Why will some people defend Obama regardless of his failures and lack of moral clarity? Is this the remnants of the Totalist Cult mentality that many of us saw developing last summer? One of the most common traits of cult members is that they don't realize it's all a scam until it's too late. This is indeed a luxury that we can't afford in this country as a whole.

If these relentless Energizer-Bunny Obamapologists aren't paid by David Plouffe's "Organizing for America", they must be willingly ignorant, and/or they really need this one to work out... bad. That, or they're as naive as an 8-year-old Girl Scout. A lot of dopey wishful thinkers voted for Obama, a terribly irresponsible act without doing their DD on his past- especially since the MSM covered it all up... while only vetting the Republicans. 


But with America's admirable tendancy for self-correction, a lot of these voters are now realizing their mistake, or at least starting to ask the questions they should have last year. This fact is made clear by Obama's plummeting support among the independent voters.But why would anybody still making wall-to-wall excuses for this guy still at this point? The preponderance of evidence would make any thinking person re-evaluate their support of Obama, you would think... or at least adopt a more nuanced position of support.

Myopic, delusional, or DNC volunteers/posters paid by David Plouffe... what else could they possibly be thinking?

Americans Now Favor Republicans on 8 out of 10 Top Issues

Today, a look at what our friends are saying in The Netherlands about the latest developments Stateside:

As I have been saying at Dutch blog De Dagelijkse Standaard for months now, I consider a Republican comeback in 2010 all but inevitable. Democrats in Congress, and President Barack Obama, started to overplay their hand at the very moment they took office this year, after Democrats had won all elections.

They mistook their victories for a radical change in American society at large. America is no longer a center right nation, or so they said. As a result, they immediately pushed big, expansive plans through Congress that would radically alter the relationship between citizens and their government, but that would do little else. The stimulus plan was expensive, and increased the size of the federal government tremendously, but will do nothing to actually stimulate the economy.

Obama’s health care plans will destroy the current strengths of the American health care system, but does little to deal with its existing weaknesses. The Democrats’ climate change bills, nonetheless, will reduce global warming by… nothing, but they will weaken the American economy considerably and cost the tax payer a whole lot of money nonetheless.

Furthermore, the way Obama deals with enemies like North Korea and Iran jeopardizes American interests and therefore peace. He emboldens the Mullahs and other enemies of freedom. It will not be long before Americans understand this, I have always believed, and so they will turn to Republicans for a little balance and, especially, policies and plans that may actually serve their interests.

A new Rasmussen poll published yesterday clearly shows that the above prediction is already becoming reality. It shows that “voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy.” As if that is not enough, Republicans have almostclosed the gap on the two remaining issues, health care and education.

Let’s start with the economy, because this is the number one issue on voters’ mind and the very reason Democrats won the elections last year:

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that voters trust the GOP more on economic issues 46% to 41%, showing little change from the six-point lead the party held last month. This is just the second time in over two years of polling the GOP has held the advantage on economic issues. The parties were close on the issue in May, with the Democrats holding a one-point lead. Voters not affiliated with either party trust Republicans more to handle the economy by a 46% to 32% margin.

Especially the last point is incredibly important. Democrats won elections, starting in 2006, because Independents supported them. If these voters now turn to Republicans, the latter can be confident they’ll strike back next year.

More issues:

Most voters (52%) now trust Republicans more on the issue of taxes, also the highest level found in over two years. Only 36% trust Democrats more on taxes. A survey conducted at the end of June found that 39% of voters now expect their taxes to go up under Obama, the highest level of concern measured to date.

On national security, Republicans hold a 49% to 40% lead over Democrats. That’s down from a 15-point lead last month.

The GOP has a 40% to 34% lead on the issue of immigration and is ahead 46% to 39% on abortion. Republicans also edge out Democrats on government ethics and corruption for the second straight month, 34% to 33%. In June, the GOP held a six-point advantage on the issue.

Also for the first time in over two years, Republicans lead Democrats on the issue of Social Security 42% to 37%. Democrats held a six-point lead on the issue last month, and the parties were tied in April.

The only issues on which Democrats are more trusted are health care and education. But even here they’re losing that trust fast:

Democrats have also seen their leads shrink on two of the party’s strong points, health care and education. The party holds a four-point lead on health care, down from 18 points in May. The Democrats’ advantage on the issue is the smallest found in over two years…

On education, Democrats lead Republicans 41% to 38%, also the smallest margin in over two years. Democrats held a 15-point lead in May on the issue.

That’s - on both issues - within the margin of error.

To summarize: Republicans are simply more trusted nowadays.

The only surprise of this poll is that it was conducted and published this weekend. I thought it would take Democrats at least a year or so before they would convince Americans that united government is a horrible idea, especially when the Democratic Party is the party in power. It only took them six months. That’s quite an accomplishment.

Fifty-four percent (54%) of all voters say the average congressional Democrat is more liberal than they are, while 36% believe the average Republican congressman is more conservative in comparison to themselves. Just 44% say their own representative in Congress is about the same as them ideologically.

Democrats have to turn this around if they want to keep their sizable majorities in the House and the Senate next year. From the looks of it though, they may have to settle for very slim minorities next year, and they may even lose the House.

Let’s hope so.

Alinsky Left in Full-Court Press

With Barack Obama's poll numbers starting to look just a wee-bit shakey, and embarrassing TEA Party II protests about to put to bed the nonsensical Everyone-Just-Loves-Barack myth, it's not by chance that now we see fresh attempts at baiting fake conflicts on the right... in-order to divert attention from the president's habitual dishonesty, hubris, disregard for the law/constitution/ethics, and general all-round incompetence, while keeping the GOP back-on-their-heels for 2010 and beyond.

And the most obvious conclusion that can be drawn from their words and actions is that the Democratic Party is terrified of Sarah Palin- pure and simple.

Nobody in the GOP could care less what Colin Powell says... nor Meghan McCain, anonymous sources/"leaks" in Rolling Stone or Vanity Fair, blather from MSNBC's Obot-drones, repulsive "humor" from David Letterman, et al. But the left is attempting to create the appearance of ceaseless chaos and disunity within the Republican party- there's little doubt about that.

Various naive or disingenuous RINOs and other mysterious "sources" -with their puerile he said/she said statements- aren't news, and not relevant in any way. Obama and the MSM/left are simply exploiting them to create their own politically-useful stories and manufactured GOP "scandals".

The left have been employing despicable Alinsky-inspired divide-and-conquer and character assassination techniques since before The One was even sworn-in… promoting synthetic “fights” like Limbaugh vs. Steele, in-addition to ceaseless ridicule of Jindal, Palin, and others- even shameful distortion of the legacy of Ronald Reagan. The strategy's larger purpose is to eliminate GOP rallying points and philosophical framework for 2010/12... while making the Republicans look like they're mired in petty, peripheral issues.

Now we again have yet another crude attack on Sarah Palin, factually inaccurate and mostly unsubstantiated by Vanity Fair so as to stir-the-pot, so then the press can descend upon various Republicans to try and quote them in contradiction to one another... same underhanded game for months now.

Typical in support of this effort is calculating articles like here on Politico- telling us all how "high profile" Republicans are allegedly fighting like cats-n-dogs regarding the recent Vanity Fair article on Sarah Palin. But Steve Schmidt is far from relevant- as a matter of fact after bungling the McCain campaign, his career has got to be over. But for some reason, the left hangs on his every word... how about that. Rather, I'd take Kristol's version of events- if you have any interest in the truth here.

As for Meghan McCain's latest sage advice that Republicans forgive disgraced, irresponsible, and selfish Governor Mark Sanford... well, it's just about time that her daddy finally told her to shut up. I've never met one person in my life who gives two hoots what this girl has to say- why should they?

The fact is that this poor thing is so hungry for her 15 mins of fame... but sadly is too dumb to see she's only being put on TV as a tool of the Alinskyite left, and with no greater moral or intellectual authority than, say, a Levi Johnston. But now that she's had a taste, she can't handle going back to hang-out at the mall in obscurity... and man, are they making a fool out of her. You'd think her parents would have educated her on how the world works- perhaps she wouldn't have turned out to be such a useful idiot for the DNC.

The Democrats know perfectly well Obama's poll numbers are going to be in the toilet by 2012, so they've opted for pre-emptive attacks and character assasination on all fronts- and as far as they're concerned, the best defense is a good offense, coupled to Alinsky-style diversions. As indicated by their substantial efforts in her direction, Governor Palin has clearly emerged in their minds as the gravest threat to an Obama 2nd term.

And what a coincidence it is then, that all this specious "advice" for the GOP coming from Team Obama, Pelosi, Reid, assorted B-league RINOs, and the press just happens to involve the party abandoning the principles that bring it votes and/or conflict with the Obama agenda. All this in order to morph into some sort of Obama-lite, and a silent partner in Obama's stealthy, yet radical makeover of this country. Hey liberals, if we wanted your "advice"- don't you think we'd ask for it?

It’s also not difficult to see why Democrats might prefer to banter playfully about made-up GOP “scandals” and irrelevancies like Meghan’s latest drivel than debate Obama’s ongoing destruction of the country-

Back in (MSM-ignored) reality, Obama is being largely humiliated overseas, and this week Al Jazeera harshly criticized Obama's tepid and useless "support" for the protesters in Iran- who even this pan-Arabic news network said were largely pro-American. Oh well, they won't be anymore by the time Obama's done allying himself with their slave-masters- and since they're mostly the young and educated of Iran, they will be hating us for the next 50 years now. Note that Chairman O sure didn't waste any time in voicing support for a corrupt Honduran leftist, though.

North Korea's already telling us they're going to fire missiles right at us- could you imagine that crackpot trying this on Reagan's watch? He'd have made it abundantly clear that if they struck us, Pyongyang would be turned into a glass-floored, self-lighting parking lot. What does Obama do? Issue some wishy-washy statement of "concern"- then cowers under his desk.

And as reported by Sammy at Yid-with-Lid, this week, even the far-left, uber-Obama fans at Der Spiegel ripped him a new one for his ill-advised and treacherous print-money spending. Meanwhile, the socialist bastions of Germany and Hungary this week both enacted tax cuts to stimulate their economies... a stark contrast to the United States' precarious path.

What is becoming apparent is that when the Democrats' reckless pork-n-welfare spending spree fails to create any real economic gains -but stokes vicious inflation and crashes the dollar instead- the Democrats will face significant setbacks in November 2010- which is now only 16 mos away.

The moment is fast approaching when the propaganda and immoral attacks on Palin, Jindal, and others are as exposed and despised as the Democrats' serial mismanagement of America is destined to be. There is then to be a heavy electoral price for the Democrats... while history is likely to be an even harsher judge. This could play-out as the largest wasted political opportunity of all time, with the Democratic Party not wholly-entrusted with the purse strings ever again, once we all digest the price for the catastrophic folly of Obamamania.

The employment of such bad-faith media disinformation tactics -coupled to the plastic, disingenuous front that Obama presents- is absolutely un-American. Sadly, this fits-right-in with the rest of his statist, anti-freedom agenda. Many in this country are belatedly coming to realize these things... and they don't like it.

Yet another reason to put the grownups back in charge next fall-
